Sorry I missed last week. I've been preoccupied by my son's arrival home from Korea and getting him and his wife and our granddaughter ready to move to Texas. Do you eat a bit beforehand so you won't be tempted? This doesn't work for me, I still eat just as much, so adding the little before is just adding a little to the total. Do you throw caution to the wind and give up? Yes, honestly. Most of the time this is what happens. Do you starve yourself all day so you can eat more? Sometimes. But I think eat the same at the party either way. Do you put a small amount on a plate and savor every bite? Sounds like a good idea, but then I go back for lots more of whatever was best. Do you just say "no" and spend your time socializing instead of eating? No, but it sounds like another good idea if you can swing it. Do you tell yourself you'll run an extra mile tomorrow? No, I run pretty much the same amount regardless of the party food. I don't do well with the party scene. |

Exercise: How much exercise is enough? That's gonna vary from person to person and even moreso it is related to how much you're eating. If you want to be aintaining or losing weight and you are, then you have found a proper balance.. Do you have one favorite thing that you do? Mainly running. Do you mix it up and try new things? I like to add hiking and biking. Sometimes a little else, I'm doing the 100-pushup challenge right now. How intensely do you work? It's intense one or two times per week and moderate the rest of the time. If you've been able to maintain your exercise easily, why do you think that is? Do you enjoy exercising? The key is this ... What is the very best of all exercises? --> It is whatever one you will actually do. The most intense, scientifically-developed workout will not be worth anything to you if you won't do it but if you love hopscotch then playing it every day will be great exercise for you.
