I detest all diet soda, EXCEPT Barq's diet root beer.  Someone on this site mentioned it in a post several months ago, and I gave it a try.  Tasted just like regular root beer.  I discovered I could have a yummy float for less than 100 calories, and it satisfies my occasional sweet tooth.

Happily, I don't live "in fear" of eternal damnation, because I DO believe.  Does that mean I'm perfect?  Of course not.  However, our lives here on earth are just temporary; the afterlife is forever.  I'd rather not have to wonder, and I don't.

I thought it was rather clear.  Sorry.  I choose to live my life believing in God and that there is a Heaven, rather than NOT believing in God and discovering at the end of my life there IS a God and NOT ending up in Heaven.

Just had a cup and a half of the new chocolate Cheerios (absolutely delicious) with a quarter cup of fat-free milk.  Only about 250 calories.  Will probably have a cinnamon mini bagel (100 calories) for a mid-morning snack later on.

Add comments:   I'm sorry to be so late in my entry.  To tell you the truth, I'm so disgusted with myself I almost didn't participate this month.  But, I didn't want to let Misch, the other participants, OR myself down.  Guess I was just embarrassed at my sudden gain.  I'm NOT quitting, just very frustrated.  I can't understand why the past three weeks, or so, all of a sudden controlling my appetite has been so difficult for me.  I do have some personal things going on; perhaps that's part of it.  Hopefully, these things will be resolved soon.  Thanks for the note, Misch.  Sorry I let my pride get the best of me.

THAT'S for sure!!!  Some people can be really nasty when you happen to have an opposing opinion.  Unfortunately, I don't have a very thick skin, so I spend very little time reading posts in The Lounge.

I agree with you 100%, Avery.  And, as far as people doing bad things to others, God gave man the ability to choose between right and wrong.  Some people, sadly, make the wrong choice.  God doesn't pull our strings.  We are not puppets.  He hopes we'll make right decisions, but we don't always.  When THAT happens, it's because we've allowed the devil to choose for us.

EDIT:  And, I have to add I feel pity for those who can't see that.

Add comments:   A second bad week in a row.  No gain this time, but no loss, either.  I am just constantly hungry.  Even had fast food a couple of times, which I haven't done since last May.  I added more fruit a couple of days ago; maybe that will help.  Seems like it should be getting easier, not harder.  HOWEVER, I will persevere, no matter what.  I will NEVER give up.  I'm confident that whatever is happening will eventually pass.  I'm STILL down 51 pounds and proud of that.
