I'm with cathy, if I eat junk it kicks in the cravings and makes the week harder. I had a dinner party a couple of weeks ago and I think I ate good and saved room for chocolate cake. That seemed to work for me, but it's a once a month thing, not weekly.

My staple, is cream of wheat with a bit of cinnamon. Oatmeal on other days. But cream of wheat is easier to eat without sugar, I typically make it with water and have a banana.

I agree with julianlv and danipulliam, take out the cheese and sourcream. Rice, beans, grilled meats, and veggies are all good. Skip the margaritas. If you need the alcohol, have a couple shots of patron with a lime.

The new look is nice but what ever you did to the website now prevents me from viewing it on certain networks. Took long to load and times out or just doesn't respond at all.

The types of exercises you do depends on your body type. Some bodies do well with high weights and low reps. Others need high reps to activate muscle growth. You have to work on yours to learn which muscles respond to what. For instance, I have naturally skinny calves, so it's harder for me to grow them. So I have to do high reps to get a reaction out of my legs.

And of course #1 is to lose fat (if you have any). You can do all the weights you want, but if you don't get rid off any fat layers you may have you will not see your six pack underneath.

Fitness Calf "covers" when running? Mar 07 2012

Those are compression sleeves and like mentioned here, they have been shown to aid in muscle recovery (reduce soreness) AFTER a hard or long workout. Some people wear them while they run and that's just a fad because research shows that the benefit of using compression is for after the run, not during or before. In fact, I have also read that they actually shorten your calf muscle (makes them lazy) because they don't recover the naturally

The sleeve for the arms are for keeping your arms warm while allowing your underarms to breath.

But, I think it's all a fad. All you need to run is a good pair of running shoes, shorts, t-shirt and pavement. Happy trails.
