I agree!  It was a very dissappointing half time show.

It is incredibly common (I've worked in a spa and a laser hair treatment center, there's a reason those places are all over the place) and it's not a disorder. You should NOT pump your body full of synthetic hormones to get rid of a few stray hairs. Plucking is fine, or if it really bothers you look into electrolosis or laser hair removal but please don't think there is anything wrong with you or that you are a freak.

PCOD is real, I've lived with it for years.  The facial hair and the acne is minor compared to what this disease can do to your ovaries, not to mention the hot flashes and the feeling that your going to faint.  It is definately worth getting checked out, at a minimum discuss it with your doctor.  I was 26 when I was diagnosed, and I had lived with it for at least 5 years before I was diagnosed.  I have now been treating it for 16 years, and wouldn't change a thing.

Foods How do you make your oatmeal? Feb 01 2010

I definately like the oatmeal better with the milk.  I don't understand why you are only getting 4 - 5 bites.  I always add 2/3 cup milk and one packet of the instant oatmeal, pop it in the microwave until it thickens (about 2 minutes in my microwave, which is ancient) and I've got enough oatmeal to fill me up.

My grandmother is on a mechanical diet as she has problems swallowing, and at 90 she doesn't have the best teeth and often has problems with her dentures and won't put them in.  Basically just about any food can be pureed, especially meats.  You may want to add a little broth to make them more appealing and easier to swallow (so I'm told).

My grandmother is in the nursing home, but coming home soon, and I will be her caregiver, so I've been scrambling to come up with ideas.  However, during her stay the cooks at the nursing home pureed everything, including a grilled cheese sandwich and a BLT!  YUCK!

I found this recipe at random some time ago. My boyfriend loves these things  and they're so easy and convenient. I'm not really a big fan of oatmeal, but these aren't gooey at all.

FYI, she has the salt WAY HIGH on her recipe. I only use about 1/4tsp, and that's with sea salt (less concentrated than regular table salt). You can obviously experiment a bit with different nuts, dried fruit, and sometimes I do 50% oats and 50% "Zoom" (hot cereal made of wheat). Also, I use soymilk or almond milk because I like it better and it keeps the calories down.

vanilla_swirl, I've never tried "swiss oats" before. I'm totally going to buy some oats and give it a shot, with the banana it sounds awesome.

This sounds really good!

I found the caffeine was great for my late morning workout or early afternoon workout, and I found the evening pot of coffee helped curb my appetite once I had met my calorie goal.

 Coffee curbs my appetitie also.

Simply_less,

I am so sorry that you are feeling so hopeless, please know that this is a temporary feeling and know that you are not alone, there are many others out there who feel the way you do, and there is help.  Please seek out someone who can help you.  If you do not feel you are getting help with therapy please consider a different therapist.  If you are in school your school guidance counselor maybe able to help you find a support group as well.  If you are not taking medication, it may be time to consider it.  Some medications for depression can help curb cravings and this may be a good fit for you.  You will need to talk to a doctor about your specific situation.  If you are feeling suicidal please, please, please call a hotline, tell friend, get help.  Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

I just looked at your pics!  You are a very beautiful girl!!!!!!!

Weight Loss My 1990 model Levi's size 34 jeans Nov 30 2007

I've been wearing Levi jeans for probably 25 years.  My current style is the 550.  I have been wearing a size 10 for a while now.  I went last weekend to buy another pair.  Tried on probably 5 or so of the 10's, all too tight.  Keep in mind, I wore the exact same style in a size 10 into the store.  I had to buy a size 12 (the next size in womans).  I was so upset, especially since I had just started my diet, lost a few pounds, and my jean size went up!!!!!  Talk about depressing!!!

This is getting ridiculous. I've never weighed this much and I need to do something about it. Love to eat, but I need to control my urges to eat. Hopefully this system will help. Thanks.

Welcome!  I'm right there with you!  I love food!  Unfortunately I love all the wrong foods, and too much of it.  I've never weighed this much before either!  I'm pretty scared of failing AGAIN.
