@nmward - That is true about Florida rain; it ended up stopping so I went! @joaree - I'm so glad this thread has been around as long as it has; I appreciate having you guys as support! Ring dips are when you hold onto two rings and push yourself off the ground until your arms are straight (it's more of a gymnastics move, but it's very hard because the rings are suspended by bands aka they move if you move). I love zucchini pasta! Tried a new restaurant Wednesday with the boyfriend and got a smoked salmon club with a baby arugula salad - yum! Last night I made sweet potato/black bean burgers topped with homemade hummus. |

@nmward - Thanks for the recipe! As of right now, it's pouring down rain and I am NOT going to CrossFit if it's pouring since half of the workout is outdoors (and they're a rain or shine-type box haha). So if it doesn't clear up, I'll skip tonight and add on Saturday instead to make up for it. But yeah, that last 800m will kill me. Thanks so much for the recipe! I actually have all the ingredients so I think I'll make those soon. @burton - As hard as the JM video is, it's definitely perfect for an "active rest day." I'm really sorry that you're frustrated with what your body is doing. All I can think of is to shake up your eating habits with a carb cycle, a calorie cycle, or maybe something like what I'm doing with the mostly-smoothies diet thing. |

@nmward - I'm glad I could help ease your mind a little bit. I still weigh myself about 1x a month just because I'm overly curious, but I don't really react good or bad when I see the number. It's strange haha. @joaree - That's a really good way to put it. Made a yummy dinner last night - flour tortilla with Swai fillet baked with cumin, black beans, lime juice and shredded Mexican blend cheese. One big fish taco/burrito! CrossFit went really well, too. Crazy that the entire workout took 5:11 but I was sweating like crazy. Tonight's WOD looks AWFUL and I'm already dreading it. |

@burton - There are a ton of Tara Stiles videos floating around on the internet for free. YogaYak on YouTube is a good one, too. JM's Yoga video IS hard! @nmward - To be completely honest, my weight has been consistently up since I've started CrossFit but I know I physically look better. It's so so so hard but at a certain point you have to nix the scale and go by your clothes and how they fit you. I LOVE quinoa! @joaree - Great attitude - dwelling won't help! |

@nmward - Everything will level out eventually! Even the soreness. You'll always be sore the day after a hard one, but the intensity goes away for sure. |

@jaylaine - Unless you're consuming mass amounts of calories and protein, lifting weights will never make you "huge." As a woman, you have to seriously dedicate your time to lifting and gaining muscle mass to become what you're afraid of looking like. How many calories are you eating per day? @burton - I understand how you feel. I was my "tiniest" when I was eating 1500 calories a day, weighed 115 lbs and was doing the Bridge to 10K running program like 5 days a week. It was awful though. I was hungry and I HATE running. I think my body is best at 120 lbs. That means I'd be happy losing about 5 lbs but I'm pretty okay with how I look either way. Yoga is great! |

Today is a rest day (and a day off work!) so I enjoyed some beach time with Nugget and a couple girl friends of mine, then I'll be trying a new restaurant with Harry later tonight! |

@joaree - There have definitely been a couple smoothies that made me cringe, but I'd say out of the 14 smoothies I've had, only 2 were gross (and it was my own fault!). For example: once recipe called for raw cashews but I used salted because they were cheaper - fruit smoothies with SALTED cashews are NOT good haha. @burton - We had like five straight days of DOWNPOURS so as soon as the sun came out I have been spending every possible moment outside! I love me some vitamin D. I finally have my summer "bronze" back, and my hair has lightened up a little. I'd love if you followed me on Instagram! My only suggestions with the plateau: are you eating enough calories? Sometimes people don't look at things from the opposite end of the spectrum. Also, try carb cycling or calorie cycling. Have three low-carb days followed by one high carb day. Confusing the body is the best way to go sometimes. @nmward - I am for about 1700-1800 calories a day, with a "whatever" day about once a week haha. You should be eating a little bit more now that you do CrossFit because frankly, you should be hungrier! I know I felt like I was STARVING on 1500 calories when I started CrossFit haha. And don't feel bad about the ring dips - I've been doing this since March and I still can't do them. The workout you did last night is called "Cindy!" It's hard as hell - good work! Today's eats: peach/banana protein smoothie in the AM, cucumber/lime juice smoothie in PM, broccoli and homemade veggie dip for a snack, celery & homemade hummus for a snack, dried strawberries for a snack, and parmesan crusted Swai with mixed veggies for dinner later! |

@Kaley - Unfortunately I did haha. They had that short time period where when Facebook bought them, they said they had the rights to your photos and would use them however they wanted with no copyright needed. Not that I have photos worth stealing, but the lack of privacy made me cringe so I deleted my account. About a week later they reinstated the original policy (privacy!) so I made a new account again haha. Cleaning TOTALLY counts as a hardcore workout haha especially when I'm cleaning the shower - the positions I have to hold my body in to clean that thing is like yoga and bodyweight training combined! |

All is well with me - I have been having one fruit smoothie and one green smoothie per day since May 1st and I feel awesome. Getting tons of fruits and veggies that I don't normally get. Less bloated, too! I haven't weighed in since I started, but I know I feel better and that's what matters. If you have an Instagram, you can see all my smoothies and recipes: blisssara is my username. Made it to CrossFit four times this week and today I went on a 45 minute walk with Nugget, did a short full-body circuit and a short yoga sequence when I got back! |

@burton - Yep I love oats, and that's one of my favorite ways to eat them! PB & banana is good, too. So, all of my old roommates/closest friends are a year younger than me, so they graduate tomorrow. Yesterday was their last day of finals, so naturally they wanted to go out and celebrate. It was $7 for all-you-can-drink from 10pm-1am at one of our favorite bars... so needless to say I don't feel great this morning. Powering through! Hoping to feel better by CrossFit time, but I can always just go tomorrow if I'm not feeling it later today. |

As I'm trying to get rid of everything in my pantry/avoid going shopping... my eats for the next few days are going to be boring. Lots of oatmeal. I'll be gone 21-25 and 28-30 so I'm not going to go shopping until May and just start fresh. |

@Chrissy - He found a healthy recipe for strawberry shortcake pancakes followed by a coconut pineapple "milkshake." Sweet tooth = satisfied! Haha. He did use a couple things that I'd rather not eat (Fat-Free Reddi Whipp in a can) BUT he was just trying to keep it low-cal for me haha can't blame him. And it was DELICIOUS. |

@Kaley - It was good! Tough, but good. And I definitely recommend at least checking it out for a class or two. It's addicting, so you're either immediately hooked or it's not for you. Five more weeks is nothing - you got this! And yeah, absolutely sick over the Boston Marathon news. The images were horrifying. @Chrissy - Holy crap! Soooo exciting. :) I am really enjoying the new calorie target obviously haha more food! And yes, we are still cross-fitting together. He made us dinner last night afterward. |
