Think about it - 600cals a meal x 3 meals is 1800 - basically what you need in a day.

Of course it should be split up, breakfast more than lunch and lunch more than dinner.

It depends...fad diets don't work, and since you're rebounding, that's what I presume you've been doing.

Well a 5k is about 3.1 miles, so a 2k is probably close to about 1.2 miles...So 20 minutes isn't great, but it is a good place to start!!

A good mile is usually under 10 minutes, you'd have to look up some beginner times for a 2k, since I'm using miles.

If it makes you feel any better, my first 2 mile run (about 3k) took me 40 minutes!!!

1) Do you prefer to work out in the morning, afternoon, or night? -Morning

2) Why do you have that preference? -I'm slightly embarrassed about using the iron gym while the rest of my family is awake, so I do it before the wake up.

3) What is your fitness activity of choice? Why? -Fitness activity...I'd have to say just playing sports if that counts, it seems like I'm burning significantly more cals then something like running, plus it's fun!!!

4) Do you enjoy listening to music or tv while you work out? -Music

5) How do you feel before a work out? -Usually doubtful, trying to talk myself put of it, then forcing myself to do it

6) How about afterwards? -Great! Once I'm going, I don't stop, and When I'm done I have no regrets.

7) What's your second choice when it comes to working out- and are these preferences due to enjoyment or calorie burning? -In terms of exercising I'd say my preference is running and walking because it's convenient and low impact

8) if previous answers were due to calorie burning, what work out activity do you most Enjoy? - like I said, just playing sports

9) Do you have a pre-work out stretch routine, and if so, what is it? -I do not

10) Do you drink fitness drink(s) and if so which one(s)? -I drink none

11) What about work out foods (protein bars, etc) and which ones? I do not eat anything special

12) You wake up and you're feeling really sore, do you work out that day anyways? -that's when I REALLY talk myself out of it

13) You get to the gym and there's an exercising beast where you would normally go, (example: huge weightlifter, sprinting runner) how do you react? -Well, since I use the iron gym, I can't really relate.

14) You see someone using equipment wrong, what do you do? -I would make sure I'm doing it right

15) If you use them, what's your favorite brand of running shoes/sock? If not, what is your favorite brand of whatever gear you do wear? socks - Adidas Shoes - Asics

16) What can you do before/after a work out that makes you feel most confident about yourself? -talk to myself :D

17) What advice/words of comfort/words of wisdom could you give future you on the day future you doesn't want to work out to motivate him/her? --

18) What is one feature of your work out or habit relating to fitness that you would like to change by New Year's? -consistency

19) How long do you work out, and how many times a week? Not enough. Sporadically without a schedule usually for thirty minutes at a time.

A little about me... I'm a 14 year old male looking to lose 10-15 pounds for health. I'm currently 142.6lbs. I have access to a treadmill and free weights up to 8lbs but no gym access.

There's a point where you simply don't need to lose weight. Food is only half the equation, although I'm pressuring you're at a healthy weight at the moment based on the pics

Ah, band camp. I'm excited for that too, though I'm a baritone player.

I'd suppose continue what you're doing now, only when band camp comes, the exercise you get there should substitute the normal exercise you do when you aren't at band camp.

That's my opinion, good luck on CG!!!

Hello fellow freshman!!

First off, of school doesn't start until April of 2013, just healthily eating and an exercise regimen (nothing extreme) will allow you to slowly shed the ten in the course of 9 months.
