Do Not go under the 1,200 or 1,500 for young adults, your going to set yourself up for future weight issues.   I mean, do you want to be on such a restricted diet forever.  Go at it, smarter, you will thank yourself in the end.  Change your eating habits to more healthful and add some exercise and cut out 500calories,  I am sure you will see success.

Best of Luck!

i would think walking you will start seeing results in 2 months as i am assuming your doing this for weight loss, that is if your eating less, you should start seeing improvements.

I mean 5 pounds is not too too bad.  You lost weight quick, so you may want to continue to work out and eat a little less.  Just now not so aggressively.

Greek Yogurt is good for many things, I am certain you know that, just look up the protein in it.  It, if you get the plain, "I think anyway" tastes similar to cream cheese.  Some people think sour cream.  That can be added to so may recipes!

Lite dishes that are always diet friendly; Soups of course be careful and get the broth based or make broth based (just tomato based if it is a vegetable soup)
Salads:  Try a salad with fruit, it does make the salad yummy.
Eggs (egg whites) Those are a decent source of protein and can be made into a meal.

I think you are safe with half a whole wheat toasted (with lean meat) (and piles of veggies) sandwich.

Mini Pizza's they are real quick (depending on your toppings) if you are making them use very little oil,  tomato paste (your seasonings) your toppings "veggies being diet friendly" with a Low fat, reduced fat, fat free cheese topping.  (to your calorie budget)

Stick with the whole grains, veggies, and lean proteins and your weight loss deficit, now start tapering for the last 5lbs.  So eat i don't know 100-300 more a day and see how that works.

Hope that helped some.

Happy Thanksgiving!

have a wonderful day

I find Greek Yogurt to be very satisfying.  I think they are a wonderful snack or part of a meal, and quite filling.  Certainly packed with extra protein, try swapping one fast food item for a greek yogurt.  (if you haven't tried this already).  They seem to sell them at convenience stores; so on the way to work, "hit up a convenience store" in addition to the fast food store and try swapping - two greek yog and a fruit are really good! You just have to slash the fries or the burger off and you are equal, yet eating healthier and you might change your taste buds.

IDK sorry, I wish could be more helpfull  ..
I am just a greek yogurt Fan (smile) So maybe this one will help you (?)

best of luck!

Original Post by sfredbull:

Well I am only a year older than you and I need botox and juvederm for my skin to look as smooth as yours. ;)

But I hear what your saying I have stopped taking photos 5 years ago and I am not overweight.  I'm just not in my 20's.  I do not care for photos any longer.

Shelly

I realise this is an old thread.  I hope you do not mind I am adding a comment.
I am with you on the photos, and comments.  As I was forced to take a photos and I did not care for it.  I heard "they came out nice"-  Polite way of saying nothing.

No No, now I have noticed after seeing a photo, of myself, um I have to work on a few things.
As we all know, people are very different with responses, So I usually try to not ask for feed back.

Good Luck with your goals!  I am sure you have taken a better photo since this thread ;)

Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks guys!  Your sport is fun and well slightly addictive.
I found a Tri group that Ocean Swims 3x a week (I wouldn't do it alone!), So I get to do that this morning, so much easier than Lap Swimming, I didn't know.

=)

Oh No, I may have to do another Sprint this summer and wait til next for a longer version.  I'll have fun training.
