Think,
I have had what i call "the shed" about 4 times in my life. Numorous doc,derma,homepath, you name it and we came to the idea that when i get a fever of 101 or higher i shed my hair about 3 months later. First time after mono at age 16.I had long blond hair that got me attention that lost about 2/3's.It looked horrible. I wouldn't cut it . It grew back and i didnt highlight it for a year, Then at 25 I had a flu and it "shed again" this time I cut it chin length ,got into hats ,scarfs, and worked it. Around 30 i had toxic shock"almost died" and it shed majorly I was happy to be alive so it was no big deal. My husband shaved his head but first dyed it blue for a day. That helped me experiment with color, cuts,hairpieces you name it.Then around 35 it shed again probably from a stressful time. Now at 38 I make it darker, wash it every couple days keep it trimed at my shoulders. It grows back sometimes all the way sometimes almost as much.I've grown as a person thru this. I am not my hair. |

| II wish I could have some years back from the waste of time BDD took. It started with a obsession of my round face moved to my nose, thighs, mouth ,hair ,skin . Ant-depressants helped. Forcing myself into the world , focussing on dance or hiking or really anything but me helps.BDD is real and it gets worse and changes.Please seek help early. | |||

Thaats very helpful. I'm glad to hear you are maintaing on 19.5 Bmi and 51 years young. It seems like my family and friends have just accepted the weight gain they experience with getting older. I want to be like you and be healthy but stay on the thinner side. I'm upping my excersise this week to stop the weight gain. Thanks again |

First of all I'm sorry about your cystic acne. It really sucks and can hurt!!! It was so hard when I had it. I was on Accutane and it cleared up my skin big time. That was in 1987 I still break out but now its one cyst once a montharound Auntie Flo's visit.I used to be covered face,back chest.
Pros- saves your skin, improves sel-esteem.cuts down on scars I lost weight on it but that was back when I had an eating disorder cons- depression in some people(me) hairloss in some people (me)More like extra shedding . Overall I'm glad i did it during my 20's and early 30's I had very pretty skin!!! |

I want to join I've been on a plateau. The last 5 are really hard. I pledge no empty calories(candy, cookies ect,,) lots of fruit/veggiesT go down slow so it matters!
