there are alot of reasons to see extra weight on the scale. you could not have gained it in one day. you have to eat 3500 calories more than you burn in a day just to gain one pound. most likely you are just retaining water or need to have a bowl movement. wait a couple days, stick to your diet plan and you will see it dissapear again. don't worry. its completely normal.

i count without thinking too. i think thats going to be helpful when we are trying to maintain weight. if we ate mindlessly still we would just gain it all back.

there is no way that one personal pan pizza slice has 325 calories in it. you should call them and ask for the calorie info. they have to know whats in it, its the law.

where did the burrito come from? check the restaurant food site for correct calorie info on your burrito. thats what i do. sometimes my dh surprises me with taco bell or something and i always check the website for calorie info. good luck! :)

i think daily oatmeal is fine, but maybe instead of having a salad for lunch, you should try something higher calorie. you don't really have to eat more, just more calories. or try topping that salad with sunflower seeds, chicken, flax seed, or oranges.

try logging your foods to track fat and fiber if you are concerned.

i am 5'1 and started out weighing 210 lbs. i have had four kids sence then and still managed to get down to 123lbs with the help of calorie count. com. i noticed you said you wish you could eat more. i know you are limiting your calories but that does not mean limiting your food. i eat more now than i ever have before, i just make sure to eat low calorie. i munch all day on fruit, veggies, boca burgers, cereal with fat free milk, and lots of other things. my calorie goal is 1200 and i still find room to eat alot. frozen grapes are so yummy and extremely low cal. have you tried them yet? good luck.

another thought on this would be to save calories for night and enjoy them. i prefer to eat at night and so i often take my bulk calories before bed.

how about slicing veggies and keeping them in a container in the fridge. when you want to night-eat, just tell yourself thats what you can have, and have as much as you want. raw veggies are low cal and you'll do your body good. another good idea is to drink a large glass of water before you make your next move.

i wouldn't want to do this. the hospital usually recommends a wet, clean washcloth and nothing more.

my set points at you called them have changed as i worked harder and harder. once there was no going below 175, then 162, 150, 142, and now its 125. my highest was 210, and i've been working past my plateaus for 6 years. i of course get lazy every so often, and eventually back at it again. i've also had two more kids in that time so thats another reason it takes me so long, but i've noticed that upping my calories to maintence level for a while and then going back down really helps.
