Weight Loss Realistic Goals: 10 Pounds by the end of 2010! Sep 30 2010

Oh I feel you! I've been at this awful plateau for way too long now :(

I started calorie counting January and have lost 30 pounds through it. It's so helpful but then I gained back 10, putting me at 140. I can't seem to get back down to 130, which is when I felt best...

It makes me wonder also if the set-point weight theory thingy is true or not... maybe I'm supposed to be at 140, which is, I know, a healthy weight for my height but these last ten vanity pounds need to go away..

It's so frustrating!

I'm eating about 1,700 a day, with a burn of 2,500 through running, elliptical, and spinning (<-- my fave!!).

Awesome guys!

Thanks!

Out of curiosity how many cals are you eating per day and about how much do you burn per day?

As a college student,

I'm having difficulty counting my calories properly :/

Weight Loss Weight loss and hair loss-anyone experienced it? Sep 24 2010

Yes! I have like basically the same stats as you. 5 8 and lost 30 pounds, at 135 now (my goal is 125/ you're so lucky!)

Over the summer I lost maybe half of my hair, clumps would come out when I showered or even lightly ran my fingers through my hair. It freaked me out so much. I realized it was because I had a poor diet/nutrition. I was not getting the vitamins and nutrients I desperately needed. Ever since I've been eating healthier and more calories (I was down to about 1000 a day for two months), the hair loss has stopped.

So don't freak! It'll grow back. I learned from my doctor that girls will never go bald which was my worry :(
