I haven't really found that they've worked very well.  I'm a big fan of doing the Whole Body Cleanse from GNC, following the diet they put in the box & exercising  for an additional hour per week.  It's helped me out a ton.  Plus that cleanse alone helped me drop a few exrtra pounds of weight and yucky stuff

I used the snugli front and back carrier.  It was definately useful because my little guy was always snuggled up to my chest all day.  I could vacuum, clean the floor, wash the dishes do the laundry all with him from on my chest.  I loved it.

The only problem that I found is now that he's almost 7 months I have to buy a new carrier.  So I'm looking for a sturdy backpack carrier.

I had those days ALL THE TIME while I was pregnant...  It gets worse the closer you are to delivering.  Theres a point where you're just tired of being pregnant and maybe that's where you are.  Take a deep breath do a little meditating and I'm sure you'll be fine!  Good luck Smile

You don't want her to grow up and be uncomfortable in her own skin.  I say wait until she's a little older and has gone through growth spurts etc before you start restricting what she has in her diet.  The sneaking in veggies cookbook sounds great though.  But putting an 8 yr old on a diet isn't necessarily the best idea.

I spoke to my son's pediatrician about this and it's a total myth.  (sorry if someone already said this)  But he stated that the link was thought to be between autism and the preservative in some vaccinations.  That preservative has been discontinued for years now so babies  now are at little to no risk of being given a vaccination with that preservative anymore.

Hope that help

Pregnancy & Parenting Has anyone tried to lose weight before first pregnancy to prepare for baby weight gain? Jul 01 2008

I lost a decent amount of weight before I had my son and it seemed pointless while I was PG because I did gain some weight and was over the weight that I had been at before.  Every women is different.  I know women who've lost weight during pregnancy (which is NOT reccomended) but she was SO sick from morning sickness she didn't gain an ounce with her 1st daughter.  And after she had her she lost even more while breast feeding.  You really have to take into account your body type and how you eat while you're pregnant.  And get into great eating habits ater baby then you'll be all set.

Hi everyone-

I'm 5'4" 155 and I'm looking to loose about 20-25lbs.  I just rejoined CC after a 2 year break in which i had a baby.  My son is now 6 months old and I'm trying to find a good way to exercise with him in tow.  We go walking at least twice a week and I go to "bootcamp" classes once a week.   Hopefully I'll be able to be back to my goal body by my sister's wedding next May!

My son is 6 months old.  Prior to having him I lost about 30 lbs only to find out that I was pregnant a mere 2 months after reaching my goal body.  I was devestated, I completely know how you're feeling.  BUT  I will tell you that immediately after having my son I lost  all my baby weight and then some.  That was due to breast feeding and stress.  Where I went wrong was maintaining my bad eating habits after I stopped breast feeding and now I'm back in the needing to loose weight boat again.

If you don't "eat for two" you just eat healthy for one while you're pregnant you'll be just fine after baby.
