starsandpinkness this is not stupid advice? This is going to help her start eating. this is what she want (to start eating without gaining too much weight)...I'm telling you she is still starving herself because her weight is going down again...you can not convince an anorexic person with a meal plan...this will not work for him/her. This is the truth...he/she need to start slow for a while until they are at least comfortable with putting food in their mouth...she is not really looking for a meal plan (they tried that in the hospital)...she is looking for someone who will tell her what to eat without gaining weight and there is no such meal plan out there...bottom line...she needs to eat at least three times a day. Fruits and vegggies with lots of bread will help...at least for the beginning. |

If you are going to starve yourself at least eat LOTS of fruits!!! and drink plenty of juice...also eat a bread called Ezekiel 4:9...it will keep you alive and your body will get rid of what it does not need. You should be eat though! But if you can't help yourself and you just have to starve, then eat A LOT of fruits and vegetables to stay alive or you will seriously hurt or even kill yourself...BE CAREFUL! You have no idea the harm you are causing yourself by not eating. You need to feed your body no matter what! |

Way to go girl!! I don't know you but I'm proud of you!! Keep it up! It's good to hear of women trying to lose the baby weight. MANY women world wide end up overweight after having a baby or two (due to the fact that their time is cut down to care for the little one). |

Yea...I agree with corgisrule... be careful what you put on your bread. Drink a glass of water after eating two slices of bread. Bread is not bad...we just eat too much of it. I really like the potato bread and the Ezekieal 4:9 bread. they are really good for the body. Happy bread eating:-) |

The dollar per pound is a great idea! I don't really reward myself. I just want to stay slim and healthy, but if I do reward myself (which is almost never), I just eat a nice treat I like, for example one serving of chocolate cake with vanilla ice-cream. |

I am glad to hear how the Asians eat all of that white rice and still mangage to stay slim overall. The key: They eat FRESH food and not much starch at all...Thanks for sharing...I hope a lot of people in the U.S. take note of this. Too much of the starch is not good for our bodies. |

I agree with just about everything you just posted...People really do need to keep on the move. This is one of the best ways to lose the weight. Like I always say, move it, move it, move it! Just like the example of the car...it burns off the food (gas) when it moves...and so sad that we move our cars more than our bodies. :-) |

Target140, when I replied to your post...I really wanted to help...and I think you're weight lose pace is healthy!!! You NEED to be patient with your body...too fast a weight lose is not healthy at all. We are under pressure in this country to look thin...but don't pay attention to the pressure...YOU do what it best for the HEALTH of your body. As a matter of fact, (and this is a fact), we really don't need to count calories. but I understand a lot of people need to so they can stay on track. I understand that this website is a calorie counting website, but it is just a site to HELP. If we eat the right kind of foods then we won't even need to count any calories...I'm not kidding...this is a fact! Calorie counting can make a person feel trap and we are suppose to eat a good amount everyday...it is not all about the calories...it is about the KINDS of food we eat and the fact of moving our bodies. This is the problem that people are ignoring and in my opinion being very angry about. Another thing is the FACT that we eat too much!!! Even the good stuff we eat too much of. We DO NOT need to eat until we are full...we need to eat a little bit at every meal which is aout six times a day (NOT snacks of any kind) REAL healty food)...snacks should come at the end of the week...You won't die if you are not snaking and you will not be starving... Think of the use of our cars: We fill it up with gas and the car uses the gas by MOVING! If it does not move, the gas will stay in the tank! Our cars can only hold a certain amount of gas at a time. (Now I know someone is going to respond to this and say that it is not the same). It is exactly the same principle! You are losing weight at the right pace, but I bet you are still not eating the right kind of foods that your body need to help combat the fat. Are you still drinking soda of any kind (diet included)? Are you still eating white bread or anything made with white flour? I know you are still eating meat which is what your post stated. These types of food are making us obese! We should not be eating these food everyday, only in moderation. NOW...I know someone will post something saying other countries LIVE off of these types of food and seem healthier than the USA. I have an answer for that. But...I won't talk about it unless someone is personally interested for the right reasons, not just to start an argument. I would bet $20 that everybody who is still having problems losing weight is because they are STILL eating the wrong kinds of food, and drinking the wrong kinds of drinks! Weight lose is easy. YES, you heard me right! EASY...IF, you are willing to stop eating the WRONG kinds of foods, and commit to keeping your body on the move. |

okay amythethistgirl, I'm glad you lost the weight and kept it off...good for you! It doesn't matter what else I write...but people are on this website and still having problems...(this is a good website though), I like it. keep up the good work! :-) good bye. |

okay amethistgirl...I don't want to get into an argument with you or anyone else :). I DO agree with you! BUT...the human body NEED to be on the move for at least 45 minutes none stop every day! I'm not talking abut heavy movement...I'm talking about stuff like house work, gardening, walking your dog, or a brisk walk to work up a light (not heavy ) sweat. and notice I didn't say anything about calorie intake...too me that is a matter of the person's business. And your comment about "veggie" just proved to me that you do not want to even try and find out if "veggie meat" will help in weight lose. There ARE veggie meats out there that does not have all of this foolishness that the "chicken nuggets" have...and yes there is such a thing call "veggie meat" ---this is another reason why people can't lose those pounds! I'm not telling anyone to become a vegetarian! TRY IT! if you don't like it...don't continue. I will say it loud and clear again...LIMIT OR GET RID OF THE RED MEAT! I'm not trying to start a big debate but this kind of meat IS making us fat!!!! White grape juice is NOT the magic drink for weight lose but it HELPS a great deal. It is better for our bodies, and so are other kinds of juices I didn't even mention. But hey, you don't have to drink one drop of it if you don't want to. I have a friend who desperately wanted to lose weight six years ago...she was obese...I wrote out every thing for her that was compatilbe with her measurements...she didn't BELIEVE it would work, NEVER tried it, and she is STILL obese to this very day! I have had TWO children since then and got right back down to my pre-pregant wieight by doing the stuff I suggested in the previous reply. In fact, she rolled her eyes just like you did.

Oh... I forgot to say that losing weight as slow as you are is the BEST way to lose weight if you stay with it! It WILL take months and even a few year to get it off AND KEEP IT OFF! Those who lose weight fast, gain it all back (AND MORE). This is why there are MANY obese people in this country...need I say more. |

Okay...I know everybody is going to think I am being harsh, but I'm not. I'm only speaking the truth. 1st fact: Obesity does NOT run in your family. Years and years ago in this country almost EVERYBODY was thin...This is a fact. Now almost everybody is overweight...this is a fact. We are eating the wrong kinds of food and there are too much foolishness in the food that the companies are making! THEY are feeding us like we are hogs and WE are eating like we are hogs...hogs eat just about anything without question! We need to really educate ourselves on WHAT KIND of foods we should be eating. fact 2: You MUST exercise SIX days a week! just simple none stop, brisk walk to work up a small sweat will do. It has to be for 45- 60 minutes! move it, move it, move it... you can not cut corners if you want to shave off the fat. fact 3: STOP EATING SO MUCH RED MEAT!! IT IS MAKING US FAT!! If I were you I would ONLY eat turkey and chicken until I can only eat those kinds of meat only two times a week...eat more veggie meat instead! You don't have to be a vegetarian if you DON'T eat animal meat. Just cut out the meat! you will not die. and fact 4: Drink only WATER and WHITE GRAPE juice (diluted with water because the sugar will stay with you longer) and you will lose the weight. I promise, you will start to lose weight. |

Okay...here's the deal, DON'T EAT SO MUCH!!!! Only eat enough to satify your hunger and show (teach, encourage) others to eat that way too. maybe after Easter, you would have helped your family to get on board with you (maybe). Just don't eat soooo much!!! YOU control what goes into your mouth regardless of peer pressure. OR eat a big healthy meal BEFORE you go among family. Yes...it IS that simple...eat a little at a time and don't feel bad about what people say. Again, DON'T EAT SO MUCH! |

I don't mean to sound negative but I think this is true for all of us: If we want to lose weight then we MUST be prepared for someone to say something to us! Our bodies will change and will be noticable. Don't bat-an-eye..."yea I did lose some weight and I plan to lose MORE!" ALOT of people are just jealous of you. Be proud of your effort and stop worrying about what other people think. When I lose weight and people comment about it, I just say, "yea, I lost weight." If they ask why, I reply, "for my health" and I leave it at that. :-) |
