Can i join?

I had my baby mid november 2008 and i was obese before i got pregnant at approximately 225lbs...I lost weight during the pregnancy and a day before i gave birth i weighed 220lbs...9 weeks on i now weigh 206lbs and i am totally breastfeeding my baby. I have a long way to go to get to my goal weight, but for now i want to just get out of the 'danger zone' for BMI...I have a disability which means i can't excersise as much as i want to, but its joint related and losing weight will help that!

Does anyone have any tips for me? I know its early to be thinking about weight loss, but i am honestly ready to do this, i am otherwise recovered from the birth and breastfeeding is well established, it's been affecting my confidence for long enough and now i need to get that back as my poor hubby hasn't seen me unclothed since we concieved this child lol!

i'm losing weight for myself too, I gave birth 14mths ago, and prior to that i had my little girl...so my body was very out of shape, Doctors also recently discovered i have high blood pressure, which is probably being worsened by the excess weight! I was bluntly told "you're a heart attack waiting to happen" which has really opened my eyes! I'm only 20! I don't want to leave my family without a mother and wife!

Also i have depression, and most of it is body related, i cant accept this me, i just cant accept that i no longer have a belly button as it's covered in excess skin! I think my depression will start to subside if i feel more confident about myself!

I hate being "the fat friend" of "the fit girl"
Weight Loss "Big Girls" ??? Jul 05 2007

I'm a big girl too! I'm 20 years old, 5ft5 and i weigh 201lb! That has reduced slightly as i was 207lb, but i only started watching calories on the 3rd july! I want to get down to about 120lb so i have a long way to go!

I have joint problems which limits the amount of excersise i am able to do but i live in hope that shedding the excess weight will help that. I know it won't cure it, but it's unhealthy to be putting my fragile joints under this pressure! I have had 2 children and as a result the weight hasn't really shifted, and my abdo muscles are seperated which makes me look 20 weeks pregnant all the time lol!

Hi, I'm new here and i started at 207lb, i'm now 183lb at 5ft5. Size 14 top and 20 bottom UK sizes. Finding it hard to lose weight from my legs though, and they make me look a lot bigger, and in some cases are the reason i have to buy bigger trousers, i have huge thighs and calves! Although i have lost some weight, i am seriously struggling to see any difference yet lol.
