Well I competely blew it Saturday night, did pretty well until then and the complete disaster, back on track today is all I can say, I did jog my 2 miles yesterday, going to try 3 miles today. I thougth I would do a mile at the track after I ran the neighborhood but it was so hot and going from street to track is not a good thing, I much rather run on the street, probalby not real good for us but oh well, so I have tracked out 3 miles through the neighborhood here in town wher traffic is not heavy and I feel comfortable and will try that tongiht, there's quite a few hills with teh 3 miles so I don't always jog up those.

Cassy-congrats on the race, I think that's a great time!!!! You need to come to Arkansas in November when we have the marathon here!!! and they have the half marathon too, I keep saying I would like to try that but I know my 2 miles of jogging wouldn't touch being able to do the half marathon, I have no training whatsoever like you have been doing.  Glad to hear you had  great 4th, we went and watched fireworks, misquitos are too bad at our house to get out to do them ourselves!!!  Sweets were my downfall too......today is another day.

Grilling chicken for supper and some cabbage and potatoes in the crock pot so should be able to keep it healthy for supper!! Summer is going to vacation bible school with my mom so I can go home straight from work and pick her up later tonight.  Colby my step son is in St. Louis playing baseball, Little League Workd Series, they won both of their games yesterday and he made some great plays, he's catching and threw 2 guys out at second base, he turned 14 yesterday and went to the Arch, so I know he had a great birthday.

Well I did okay yesterday not really bad at all, but ttotm hit this morning, wasn't really feeling all bloated and all and I hadn't been planning on weighing anyway so I'm glad I didn't :)  Tonight firends are coming over and we are having burgers and chips and dips, probably won't be a good night but we will see, I did make chocolate chip cookies plus chocolate no bake cookies but I think I can control myslef.

Soraya- Congrat's on the new fridge, I really think that will help you get back on track for sure, not having things handy can make it hard to stay on track and maybe with the extension of your job that will help relieve some of the stress on you for a bit....you will succeed!!!!!

Cindy-great job on the bbq!!! It's so hard to stay focused when you have all that temptation around but sounds like you conquered it for sure!!! Great job on the run too....was going to get up this morning and do my run but it was raining and I haven't brought myself to run in the yucky weather!!!

Karey- hate that you are having to work but sounds like it's working to keep you on track!!! Have a great one.

Weight was fine this morning 141, lowest has been 139 so I'm really happy and the eating better and jogging has paid off this week, now to make it through the weekend!!  Got my 2 miles in last night and worked my arms with my weights, try to do more reps.

No big plans for the day, it looks like it might rain, mom is grilling hamburgers so we will go there and just chill, my aunt next door has  apool so Summer might go swimming and if it doesn't rain we will drive to Jonesboro with my brother tonight and watch fireworks. Just a laid back weekend.

Cindy-I may try to eat my  burger without a bun.....just try to make wiser choices and lots of veggies.

Karey- sounds like you have a fun job, I love dogs but we have 2 cats and they are worse than kids.

Cassy-so glad to hear you are feeling so much better, can't wait to hear how your race goes!!!! You will do great.  I almost signed up for another 5K today but decided against it, maybe later.  Have fun with the fireworkds and be safe.

Joan, Joan, Joan, Joan.....what am I going to do with you???? Step away from the candy isle, and the M&m's, do not let yourself get back in that bad mode or I will personally come to NJ and kick your rear!!!!  CONTROL!!!!!!!! YOu have it, take a deep breath and when the urge hits walk into another room, you will thank yourself!!!  Is your eating healty????NO WAY?  IS your body feeling good? I'm sure it's not??? GET BACK ON TRACK!!!!  You've come to far!!!!  Listen to Karey she gave some really good advice on planning your meals and you have always been the one that was on track with your meal plan!!!!!  Please take care of yourself:)

Hey ladies....well Monday I didn't get in any exercise but I ate 100 times better that day so i was feeling better, I was at my mom's with my brother and we are working on a SURPRISE 50th wedding anniversary party for my Uncle Thurman and Aunt Opal (he's the one that had the stroke a little while back, but is doing really good) anyway they never had any kids, they kept us when mom worked when we were little and now they are keeping our kids, man I count my blessings everyday that my kids really get to experience being with family.  Anyway we addressed invitations until like 9:30 so I was beat when I got home.

Eating under control yesterday as well, of course taking it a day at a time and yes I got out and jogged 2 miles and came home and did 2 reps of 30 with my free weights on my arms and a couple of stomach exercises.  I jogged through the neighborhoods in town and it's hilly, not flat so I 'm getting a good workout and Summer pushes her scooter the whole way even up this major hill, she almost was able to scoot it all the way instead of getting off and pushing, the 2 miles seem like fun to her and it keeps her active, which she rides her bike all day at my aunt and is out running all the time definitely not sitting in front of the tv.  I'm just having problems with her snacking at night.

Joan- girl I needed that kick in the butt because every word you said was so true and didn't bother me at all except I knew what you were saying was true and that just stabbed me through the heart ! LOL!!  I needed it and you are right I have been doing more worse than good and I have to snap out of it.  I am using 3 pound weights and I hold them both in one hand so I'm getting 6 pounds when I do my arm exercises, should I buy 8 or 10 pound weights?  I don't want to get too light but I don't want to get too heavy where I can't use tehm.

Karey- welcome, I took a look at your pics and you look great!! You have come so far and be so proud of yourself, this is a great group of ladies and you will shed those last few pounds just don't give up, we all have good days and bad days, here lately I've had more bad eating days than good, but Joan gave me a good kick and I'm getting back on track!!!  Love the pics of your dog and cat, we have 2 cats, but don't tell them that's what they are!!  My daughter is wanting a Nintendo DS but maybe I need to think about the Wii Fit, that might be right up her ally and help keep her from snacking at night.    Exercise is the key for me, I can keep it off pretty decent as long as I do some sort of exercise, and I have been jogging a little and I walk.

Gotta run

Cassy-hope you are getting to feeling better.

It was a blind date for me too......we met on a Friday night at a friends house, he had his little boy that was 1 1/2 years old at the time, which didn't scare me away.....I left that night with a lunch date set for Monday and then he called me on Saturday saying I don't know what I was thinking, so we got together and the rest is history, we met on March 1, 1996 we got engaged on April 21, 1996 and were married on August 23, 1996, and I have 1 step son that will be 14 on July 6 and we have a daughter that is 8 and have been happily married for 11 years. Wouldn't change a thing. So yes I would say there is love at first sight, I knew from the beginning and never doubted anything even though he had a child from a previous marriage.

Recipes ?Kraft Asian Toasted Sesame Dressing? ?. Discuss: Jun 30 2008

I get the Kraft magazine that comes out a few times a year and it has a recipe for chicken stir fry that's yummy but I'm sure high in cals but I will pass it your way and you could make adjustments as needed.

1 pound boneless skinless chicken strips

2 cups broccolie florets

8 oz angel hair pasta

1/2 cup Kraft Asian Toasted Sesame dressing

2 tablespoons soy sauce

dash of ginger( I don't use it gives a weird taste)

1/8 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (or more if you want it spicy)

In non stick skillet sprayed with Pam cook chicken until cooked through.

In another pot bring water to boil and cook pasta until done, during the last few minutes of cooking add broccoli.

In small bowl combine dressing, soy sauce and red pepper flakes together and pour over chicken and cook for 1 minute.

You can either toss all together or put noodles and broccoli on plate and spoon chicken over it.

Hi my name is ......Sherry and I am a weekend over eater!!!!! Man I was a xrazy man this weekend with my eating....not sure what was up but today is a new day....felt totally out of control and I DID NOT LIKE IT AT ALL....told Scott last night that I felt awful and felt like I had lost all control of my senses this weekend and it wasn't going to happen again it definitely was not worth it.   So back on track today and take it a day at a time.

Welcome Cindy- I walk/jog every now and then I need to do it more often, these ladies are wonderful here and Cassy is the jogging fien!!!!  Weights is Joans category...you will love it here, we all give each other the little kick when we slack and congrats when it's time.

Cassy- I hope you are feeling better. Take it easy for a couple days and take ALL your meds.

Joan- hate to hear that you are having more issues with your dad....I also hope this temp job turns out to be more permanent for you, yuck on the insurance monthly.  I have to have a seperate policy on my hubby and child because if I have insurance on them through the bank it would cost me $360 every 2 weeks, yeah then where is my pay check?  Are you goign to be going to the other house for the holiday?

Gotta get to work ladies.

Not alot to write about here lately, looks like either we are all busy or just being lazy....mine would be the latter, being lazy and having to compete to get to the computer between hubby and Summer, she plays games and he gets on his car website and then I get nothing, guess I need to start posting at lunch.

I haven't weighed in a while, I haven't been eating well the past couple weeks, I'm sure I'm paying for it, not stepping on the scale, I'm sure it would be scarey but I deserve whatever it says, I haven't been walking/jogging this week, I have been recouperating from the painting we did the weekend of Father's Day, it really wore me out, I have been asleep by 8 on a couple nights.

My plan for the upcoming week is to get back to doing at least 2 miles a day and then getting back with my arm weights and doing my stomach exercises, there is no excuse for me not to do this, I was really wanting to take my measurements for July 3, I took them last June 3, but at the rate I'm going the measurements would be worse.  Okay enough pity on myself, I need to get back in control.

Joan - I posted in your journal. Glad things are under control for you.

Cassy- you are always on track, I need to follow your path and stay on the straight and narrow.  I have been having a sweet attack this last week.

I think my body is out of whack, I ususally get a sweet craving right before ttotm and I don't really thnk it should be time for that, but I didn't keep up with when the last one was but Id ont think it's been long......need to keep better track of it.

Has anyone heard from Brigett?  Hollyebell?  We miss all of you.....

I haven't fell off the face of the earth yet...:)  I haven't weighed, eating has been off and on.....not much exercise this week, the weekend of painting finally hit me like a mack truck on Wednesday and I have been so tired.

Not much happening my way, hope to get back to jogging this week, I feel so much better.  I want to get some pics posted from the race, I look awful but hey.

Sorry I didn't get back in to post on the race, weekend has been insane.

Okay I come in 2nd place in the 30-34 age division, not sure how many ladies were in my age division but that's okay, I did it in 30 minutes and 52 seconds, would have come in better but my little chip came off my shoes and I had to stop and tie it back on, that sucked, but I was extremely happy with my time and I didn't care if I won a trophy or not but I did so it's all good!!!!  Got home and we started washing the house getting it ready to paint, OH MY GOODNESS!!! I am so not used to manual labor by any means, it was awful, my knuckles look like I have been in a brawl, we had to take a steel brush after pressure washing and go over the chipped paint, it sucked, but we finished it late Saturday afternoon, I was dead tired, definitely plenty of extreme exercise that day and we painted Sunday, oh my was it HOT!!! My brother, his wife and a friend of ours helped us paint and with all the ehlp we were able to finish it yesterday, man what a burden is lifted off my shoulders.

Well gotta run will post again later.

Well the scales showed 143, not really what I wanted to see but I feel smaller and I put on a pair of capris that felt looser, I know a week att eh track isn't going to do majors things but a girl can always hope.....I guess my muscles could be reatining some water and then I had tacos the other day and nachos for lunch so maybe sodium could be a factor who knows, I feel good today and I think that's what matters most.

A rep is taking us out to lunch today, I sure hope I can make good choices, don't have a clue as to where we are going to eat:(

Have a great day.

Chicken and rice for supper much better for the belly and going to the track!!!  It was a chicken breast and some cream of chicken soup and a little rice nothing fancy but filling, oh and I did have a twinkie but it was all by 6;30 so I can deal with it.

Hope to weigh in the morning and see something decent, feel like it should be okay, I feel that I have done well this week on my eating we will see, being treated to lunch by a rep tomorrow hope to make good choices.

Got to the track tonight, lacked 1 lap being 3 miles but I could feel a blister coming up on the back of my foot, got to get some different socks, the ones I have been wearing are the no show and they are too short with my new tennis shoes; oh and Summer was with me and in a mood.  I need a walking clothes overhaul.

Vicky- way to go and I hope the golfing turned out in your favor!!! All I have ever done is putt putt!!!! You are back on track I can tell.

Lisa-Great job getting back to the gym. It's hot here too, I think it's in the mid 90's already all this week and of course HUMID!!!!!!  I wouldn't mind having a bike I just need a bigger seat!!!LOL!!!

Joan- glad to see you back and glad you are liking your new temp job, keeping my fingers crossed that it turns into something more perm for you if that's what you want.  Man read your journal and wowowowowo is all I got to say, bless your heart, your nice mini vacation ended up being a nightmare!!! Sorry for that. Glad you are getting to the gym, I know that is making you happy.

Summer is going to a sleep over tomorrow night so I'm not sure what hubby and I are going to do, I would be happy renting a movie and planting myself on the couch!!!  Not going to go to the track, taking a day off, my upper inner thighs are still kinda sore, not sure if I'm still not stretching enough or when I'm jogging, not making a big enough step and tightening that muscle too much.....tried stretching more today and taking a little longer step when I walked jog tonight.

Sorry I have totally rambled....

Got another night in at the track, don't think I stretched as well as I should my upper inner thigh muscle was really hurting by the end, will have to do better on stretching that's for sure. I did 3 miles, 4 laps around the track is a mile and I walk the curves and jog the straights.  Had tacos for supper, didn't do too bad, but not a good thing to eat before going to the track and I waited before I went...still burped them the whole time!!  May just walk a mile or jump rope tonight...don't want to really get that muscle aggravated, or I could do the elliptical, will wait and see.

Cassy- thanks for the advice on the clothes, the shorts I wear now of course are all cotton and I'm just sweating like there's no tomorrow when i'm done, last ngiht I wore a polyester short but I think they are too big...or I need to find some that don't crawl up my thighs :)  I think I need a workout clothes overhaul! LOL!

Vickie- you are back on the bandwagon and that's what counts, at least you were still active the whole time....when I get off I completely become a couch potatoe...... hang in there.

Have a great one ladies.

Well 2 days of getting to the track and I'm pleased, it feels like a good workout and then I come home and use my weights for my arms and some stomach exercises, last night Scott asked how much exercise was I going to do and I said honey the walking doesn't do a thing to work my arms, he just laughed.  I weighed yesterday and was at 142, will wait until the end of the week to weigh again.  Walked with a friend last night didn't get as much jogging in but kept a good pace.

Cassy- taking it slow will definitely help you know how your leg is doing, you are an amazing lady.  I need some different shorts to wear when I walk, what do you suggest?

Stacey-wow that a long bike ride, just too dangerous here to ride a bike, and they just don't make the seats big enough for my rear anymore!!!

Well gotta run, keep up the great work ladies.  For all those MIA, hope things are going well.

Let's see, it's Monday and I didn't weigh, didn't do too bad eating until yesterday, why I subject myself to overeating I may never know but one day I will overcome the battleYell  On the up side, Saturday morning I did go to the track, walked/jogged 2 miles and Margie, my frined from work and who I walk with hurt her knee so we stopped at 2 miles, she is going to probably have to have knee surgery again, she knew it was coming her knee has been bothering her, she had surgery on her knee about 10 years ago, so I lost my walking partner but that's not going to stop me.... We went to the nature center after church and did a little walking but not a whole lot, so tonight I grilled pork chops, green beans and corn and then I waited for a bit and went to the track, walked/jogged 3 miles in 34 minutes, I was very very happy with that!!!  The 5K is June 14 and I'm hoping ot jog quite a bit of it but I can walk/jog and be happy just want to finish it this year without getting sick like I did last year!!  I then come home and used my hand weights for my arms and did some stomach exercises, so maybe I can get something good going but will take it a day at a time.

Stacey-how far is it to ride your bike to work?  It's not bike country here by any means, I would be afraid I would get run over.

Cassy-sounds like you had a great weekend without the kids, I did have a smirnoff green apple cooler Friday night but only had 1.  Summer has a sleepover this Friday so I'm looking forward to a relaxing night.  I hope you get back to running soon, but still watch that leg close, which I know we don't have to tell you that.  Sounds like you had a busy busy weekend and got exercise in with the golf. Great job on the yard sale.

Soraya-  hey today is another day, don't beat yourself up over yesterday.....make this the best day yet!!!  Look at all the positives you have going on, look at the toned muscles you have and be proud of your accomplishments, that's great.  Hate to hear about your hair, don't have a fix for it but it can grow quite  abit in a weeks time.  I hope you didn't break anything when you shut your hand in the garage.  Flush out your body with lots of water.  It will get better., just vent all you want to.

Have a great one ladies. Still ahven't posted my measurements, will get to at some point.

Back from exercise class...had a bbq sandwich for supper probably too much meat but I feel that I have done pretty good today.  Tomorrow is the last exercise class, we are taking a break until school starts so I will now have no excuse not to get to the track.  The 5K is June 14, hope to be able to jog most of it but we'll see.  I had already told my friend that this would be my last week, I just won't be able to do the class and get Summer home in time when school is out and everyone has agreed it will be fine to have a break plus where we exercise the air turns off at 4 so it's cool when we first get there and the awful by the time we leave and today the humidity was wayyyyyy up.

Soraya- I'm going to have to give the jump rope a try, that might be a good warm up before going to the track, that's amazing that you have worked up to that.  I hope you are able to kick the smoking, Margie that I work with has been smoke free for a year and she is so happy, and she was a faithful smoker for years, she took that chantix they have out, I think Brigett took it too, I think you can have some weird dreams but it works.

Vicki- so glad to hear from you, now I know you hope to get a little rest with tax season out of the way.  We have to paint the outside of our house this summer I really wanted to hire someone but the cost was just out of our budget so we are going to have to paint it ourselves, I'm not looking forward to it at all.  I think it's the manual labor part of it!!!

Have a great night ladies will check in tomorrow.

I need to take my measurement tomorrow, we took them when the class started so we will see.
