That's about right MJ.

I think our fair market value is like $75,000 and we pay about $1500 maybe a little more. (central IL)

Not a nursery :)

So close with tax season.

And the winner is: Medicare/Medicaid cost report filing season!

Well, that just doesn't roll off the tongue nearly as well as nursery or tax.

AH HA!!!!!!

It sounds a little more exciting than taxes, but not as relaxing as plants.

What sort of "busy season" ends May 31? This would be a fun game.

I'll guess Nursery. Plant type.

I was thinking Tax season.

Anyone have any awesome weekend plans?

I think I'll try on an abdominal hernia belt at work. I have a cord of birch being delivered tonight, so I'll have to haul it by wheelbarrow & rack it.

ick.  I hate hauling anything by wheelbarrow.

Anyone have any awesome weekend plans?

I think husband and I are going to go see The Avengers at the drive-in tonight.  Tomorrow is the local Art Festival so we might go down and scope out some fun stuff for the house.

No.

Do some weight training... squats, lunges, deadlifts.

As you know, you can't spot reduce fat, all you can do is define muscle.

Oh I'm all about baby carrots! I'm not anti carb; I just want to eat under 200 grams of carbs a day. I've noticed going semi-veggie (transitions been hard) that my diet is 60-70% carbs so I need to find balance agin. Most carbs do indeed suck in my opinion (so many are processed), but limiting them makes it harder to come up with foods on the go or limited time.

Also, instead of guacamole, I've been eating an avocado a day, which is crazy because I never even tried guacamole until a few years ago.YUM!

I've been cutting out more and more meat from my diet...  I've been replacing a lot of things with black beans.  Like tacos.  Instead of meat I do beans.

I've also been doing a lot of beans and rice with a little cheddar.  It seems to be more filling and a larger portion for less calories.

Also, I eat a lot of salads.  I buy the 50/50 mix and then add some walnuts and strawberries... and use a pomegranate vinaigrette.

I know those are meals and not snacks, but they're pretty quick and you can make them in advance if you need.

Frozen bananas are my new favorite "treat". Tastes great and I don't feel bad about it. Just slice up some ripe bananas before they go brown and toss them in the freezer.

There's always money in the banana stand.

Arrested Development FTW!

Not trying to derail.. but you know they are making an arrested development movie?  YES!  All the same actors too!

I wish my work would have a mandatory exercise break.  That would make it so much easier for those of us with desk jobs :D

I take 2 breaks a day to rehab my shoulder. It really is helping.

I feel like there is a masturbation joke in there somewhere.

So, last thursday I ran 4.8k in about 30 minutes, and then did a pilates class at the gym. My back was a bit sore after, and by the next day I was pretty much immobilized.

welllll...

My guess is that it isn't the running that hurt your back.  You said you've been doing it for a few weeks now, did it bother you before?

If I had to put money on it, it's the pilates class, not the running.

I started running on a treadmill, and now I'm transitioning to pavement.  I definitely find the treadmill to be easier, even when i set it on a 2-3% incline.  I can run an hour on the treadmill (about 6 miles)  and I'm just now up to 3 miles on the pavement.

The treadmill does seem to give me some impact relief, but I also have a pretty high end treadmill with an air ride.

My first few times on the pavement I did have some lower back pain, but it wasn't extreme, I never had to worry about anything like that on the treadmill, so if it's a constant problem, a treadmill may benefit you, but it's no where as fun as being outside!

Also, I wasn't starving myself because I didn't die.

Also also...have you any idea how hard it would be to eat 10,000 calories of fruit?

Just jumping in for a second...

Have you thought it might benefit you to log your calories so you would have a better idea of your macros?  I can lose weight without logging, but I find that when I don't log, I tend to neglect certain nutrients which lead to me binging.

Just a thought because I know you suffer from binging as well.

I recently started taking Glucosamine. It's supposed to improve "lubricity" in joints (make them work smoother). I have no idea if it's helping but it hasn't gotten worse.

me too!!!!  When I started trying to put more miles in...  I found that my knees weren't so achy later on!

So it seems to work...  but I could be crazy.

I was born allergic to the protein in cow milk.  I guess it's pretty common but most people grow out of it.

If I have too much dairy, It makes my unbelievable sick to my stomach.

I love ice cream too, so sometimes it can be a problem.

Can you eat coconut ice cream or soy ice cream or all those other replacements? I am sure they're not as good... lol... but it's something.

Yes.  I can eat sorbet too, but it's never quite the same as full fat dairy :D

Usually, as long as I have it in moderation I'm ok.  It's those nights where you eat a full pint of Haagen Daz that there can be a problem!  Luckily, I don't like milk by itself since I never had it as a kid.
