That's about right MJ. I think our fair market value is like $75,000 and we pay about $1500 maybe a little more. (central IL) |

Anyone have any awesome weekend plans? I think husband and I are going to go see The Avengers at the drive-in tonight. Tomorrow is the local Art Festival so we might go down and scope out some fun stuff for the house. |

No. Do some weight training... squats, lunges, deadlifts.
As you know, you can't spot reduce fat, all you can do is define muscle. |

I've been cutting out more and more meat from my diet... I've been replacing a lot of things with black beans. Like tacos. Instead of meat I do beans. I've also been doing a lot of beans and rice with a little cheddar. It seems to be more filling and a larger portion for less calories. Also, I eat a lot of salads. I buy the 50/50 mix and then add some walnuts and strawberries... and use a pomegranate vinaigrette. I know those are meals and not snacks, but they're pretty quick and you can make them in advance if you need. |

I wish my work would have a mandatory exercise break. That would make it so much easier for those of us with desk jobs :D |

welllll... My guess is that it isn't the running that hurt your back. You said you've been doing it for a few weeks now, did it bother you before? If I had to put money on it, it's the pilates class, not the running. I started running on a treadmill, and now I'm transitioning to pavement. I definitely find the treadmill to be easier, even when i set it on a 2-3% incline. I can run an hour on the treadmill (about 6 miles) and I'm just now up to 3 miles on the pavement. The treadmill does seem to give me some impact relief, but I also have a pretty high end treadmill with an air ride. My first few times on the pavement I did have some lower back pain, but it wasn't extreme, I never had to worry about anything like that on the treadmill, so if it's a constant problem, a treadmill may benefit you, but it's no where as fun as being outside! |

Just jumping in for a second...
Have you thought it might benefit you to log your calories so you would have a better idea of your macros? I can lose weight without logging, but I find that when I don't log, I tend to neglect certain nutrients which lead to me binging. Just a thought because I know you suffer from binging as well. |

I've been bringing a big thing of unsweetened tea with me. I know some people can't stomach the taste but i don't mind it, and it give my water some flavor. |

Lunar seems to be almost back to normal today. We're still trying to keep her from running around like the crazy dog she is, but I'm pretty sure by tomorrow she'll be back at top speed :D |

Yes. I can eat sorbet too, but it's never quite the same as full fat dairy :D Usually, as long as I have it in moderation I'm ok. It's those nights where you eat a full pint of Haagen Daz that there can be a problem! Luckily, I don't like milk by itself since I never had it as a kid. |
