I am a 30 year old married mommie of 3 boys (13, 12 and 7). I started my weight loss journey in November 2007. My friend had been trying to get me to start counting calories with her earlier in the year, but I just wasn't "ready". I laugh at that now, because NOW I know how easy it really is. My work started a Biggest Loser Challenge and I signed up for that at a whopping 227.8 (not my highest weight) on November 9, 2007. By the end of the competition (02/01/08) I had lost 41.8 pounds, which was 18.35% of my body weight. I felt so much better, which inspired me to keep going and not give up just because the competition was over! They then decided to start ANOTHER weight loss challenge at work on 02/15/08, I started that one at 185.2. My current weight is 169.8 which has put me at 8.32% lost for this challenge and 25.46% lost total since I started. My short term goal for now is to get to 150 and see how I feel.
