Hello everyone!!

about me... Well about 4 years ago i was told i had a thyroid condition that seems to be getting progessively worse. Not, Oh my God!, worse but about once a year they up the medication i have to take. Unfortunately, the thyroid condition, being what it is, makes it a little harder to lose weight. But so does being lazy. I have arthritis in both my knees, probably from being over weight (and a high school dance injury). I am tired of being overweight and cannot make exuses anymore. I have a toddler now and my choices now will effect her for the rest of her life too. Plus, I have a goal of living to 100 and in order to do that i must be healthy!

Are Nutrition Facts Labels Accurate?
Being a health and calorie conscious eater, I like to think of nutrition facts labels as my nutrition information go-to, a cheat sheet of sorts. Despite the vast amount of info, there are definitely gaps. A nutrition label doesn’t reveal everything a consumer should know, and can even be misleading.
