| Bio | I am a Senior undergraduate student at USF, working on my bachelor's degree in Information Technology. I am also working at the help desk at USF part time. I am a 24 year old single mother and have a 4 year old daughter. I've been struggling with my weight for about half my life. I went from being underweight to overweight in a short period of time when I moved from my mother's to my fathers when I was 11. And ever since I've been having problems with eating. I was pretty much starved as a child and when I moved in with my father I just ate everything in sight because that was my natural instinct. My dad has a really bad sweet tooth also and I guess it rubbed off on me, though now I've learned to curve it. I'm talking about a guy who can polish off an entire cake in one night and not really gain much weight from it. Don't you just hate that? :p I've been doing pretty well in my diet so far. I've only been on 2 other diets in my life and they have backfired on me, mostly because they were too restrictive. I like being able to splurge every now and then and being able to eat all of the food groups. I've never been on a diet (and lifestyle change) this long, nor have I lost this much weight in my life. I guess the reality of my weight hit me when I saw pictures of myself. It's funny how I looked completely different in the mirror. I guess I was in denial about it and I had to slap myself into reality. I was 175 pounds and obese, and now I am down to my goal of 115 pounds :) I lost 60 pounds! It's great to be more healthy and to feel better about myself and my appearance. I did a test a few months ago before my diet and it said that I was 5 years older than my actual age, but it says I'm younger :) Goals For March: 1. Maintain weight 3. Stick to my pyramid diet plan (mypyramid.gov) 4. Eat no more than 1600 cals a day (1800 on work out days). Measurements: Bust: 31 (ahh! my boobs!) Waist: 25 Hips: 35 Thighs: 19.5 Arms: 10 Goal Measurments: Waist: 24 Hips: 35 [reached] Thighs: 19 Arms: 9.5 Future plans: I'm hoping to keep this weight for the rest of my life by maintaining my calorie intake and keeping up my healthy lifestyle and diet. If I get pregnant in the future I'm not going to gain more than 30 pounds (I gained 40 lbs last time!). After collage and after I get a good job, I want a breast augmentation, I hate being a size A cup now :( I also want to get a tummy tuck and try to get rid of these stretch marks. |
