People have even been giving helpful suggestions, like having a tattoo that reminds you of your BFF instead of her name. Names are kind of extreme. Imagine explaining to a new boyfriend who has just gotten your shirt off why there is a name on your belly...kind of kills the mood.

Wait for tattoos until you're 100% sure of what you want - then hopefully it will be something you love forever. I chose some generic things I love that I know I will never stop loving. Love for TV and celebrities fades, and even if you still like it, the obsession's gone and it just wouldn't be the same. Although, the Batman symbol might be fun, since popular comics have a way of sticking around forever, but you still might want to think hard about that one.

I think your SO is just trying to help, but I'd be irritated too. You don't need anyone's permission to marry him. Did you tell him that you feel that way? Just ask him not to do it.

I say, don't let your parents decide how you'll get married. It's your day to have as you please. Having a separate ceremony for just your parents might help a little, but would you regret it? Would it ruin everything else? Weigh your options.

Shhh, don't tell, but I'm technically only 4'9.5"...  I give myself the extra half inch because I don't like explaining to people that I'm "legally" a midget but I'm proportionate and don't have any kind of medical issue that made me that way.

Haha, I do not blame you! I usually just say I'm 5'0" haha. Whatever works, right?! And I have really short legs - so finding pants to fit length-wise is a nightmare! Even the "petites" and "short" sizes are too long. I would think you have the same problem.

I'm 5'3" and I still have the same problem. All my height's in my torso, somehow I got stuck with itty bitty legs. I have to get all my pants hemmed.

Is it a response to something? When are you washing your hands? Is it at obvious times, like after using the washroom, or is there something else triggering it?  Is it when you're stressed? If it's a compulsion there might be a problem.

I have OCD and I've been at the point where my hands look like leather. At one point my skin was so dry and tight I dislocated my pinky. Dark times.

Hey, KG... I found us these shoes to wear since we're "heavier" and should NEVER wear heels!

There are nicely designed for fat women in mind!

Those are hot.

You could probably also get some canned vegetables and fruit too, for snacks and for sides for different meals - or even frozen veggies, for that matter. They're not all that expensive and at least you're getting your veggies!

I have several large friends whose legs and feet look great in heels.  For any size woman, it's all about finding the heel with the right fit in the right size.

Yes, that is what I meant. Larger women can look just as good in heels as small women, so long as the heels fit. Then again, tiny women look like children playing dressup if their foot doesn't reach the back of the shoe.

I love wearing heels when I'm skinny. It makes my legs look incredible.

HOWEVER, when I'm overweight heels make me feel like an elephant on stilts. I don't believe heavier people should wear heels...nothing cute about it!

Well, I don't fully understand why so many women wear them, but I also think that people can and should wear whatever the heck they want.  Regardless of their weight.

I agree. But if you have wide feet, you need to get wide shoes. I'm not sure why but it always bothers me when I see someone in heels that don't fit (too big or too small, each are equally ridiculous looking).

I hate wearing high heels. I can never find any in my size, which is just as well because after a couple hours of it, my ankles just hurt.

*runs out of thread*

There is no reason to run.  Men can have opinions about them too!

I love men in heels.

For work I either wear my skate shoes or my massive platform boots that don't even feel like heels but make me considerably taller...I like to wear them in bad weather because they keep me away from the wet ground.

As for regular heels - only on a special occasion if I find myself dressed up, like for the wedding I have to go to or the super formal staff Christmas parties my work hosts. I think they look nice but they're too painful.

Yeah, my parents have always let me express myself. They don't really care what I wear. It's my body and I can show it how I please. They're still tryna get me to wear a dress though.... XP I hate dresses. They're gross. Too girly.. I like black :) Black is my all time fav color :)))

I used to wear a lot of black and I tried hard not to be girly. Then all of a sudden I had pink hair and every shirt in my closet is a different colour (most of them vibrant - my favorite is lemon yellow!) I think I spent too long suppressing my inner rainbow, hah!

I also only wear makeup because it's extra colour. I swear it looks like rainbow vomited on me.

That's such a cute video! My cat headbutts me like that, he doesn't lick too much. This morning he was laying on my pillow and pawing at me because he wanted breakfast. I nearly died from the cute.

Aww I missed the "celebrities I wouldn't kick out of bed" conversation. Those are always my favourite.

That is beyond creepy. A guy you're not really friends with shouldn't be having that kind of conversation with you. I'd be creeped out if my best buddies who are like brothers were talking that way to me. Chances are he didn't mean anything by it, but why stay if there's the remote chance that he's actually a bad dude?

You're going to have to change your thinking.

I can't. No matter what I do, I can never seem to think I'm pretty..... Most of the time I'm embarrassed to even hang out with my family!!

Time might be the only thing......

Anyways... next subject? Anyone? :)

I've had to work with my therapist to learn self-confidence. I like looking at pictures of myself now, also because I take better care of myself now that I know I'm worth it.

You have to change your thinking to love yourself. Trust me, it's worth it. Make lists of the things you like about yourself. Ask the people you care about to tell you what they like about you. Try to focus on the good. It's not always easy and everyone has their down days.

And don't argue with people when they give you compliments :) Everyone deserves compliments!

Mayhap. But when you try to talk to a man about his hygiene and his excuse for not showering is, "I get caught up doin' stuff and I forget," it's difficult not to hit something. :P

And I bet you like your fiance...*grumbles* LOL, I just need to be a bad mood today, I think.

I like him but if he didn't shower I'd still hit him. Maybe you should have an intervention? If he goes for more than two or three days without a shower, cold bucket of water gets dumped on his head, something like that. Repeat until the message soaks through...hahaha.

Being single's not so bad. I'm sure you're sick of hearing it (I know I was) but you're young still. I dated this guy in high school because we were both desperate, and thankfully I never did anything with him because what a loser!! Desperation makes you do stupid things. I know I did something infinitely stupid out of loneliness, and I wish I had just listened when people told me to relax and let it happen...relationships come along.
