Stone~ You have a great support system in your mom! That was great of her to have a fruit salad instead of a cheesecake. :)

Pam~ Your day is winding down too I see. I'm aching to go for a walk but this little one that's visiting still is awake. I'm thinking I'm going to have to take a early walk whiles he's still asleep. Ugh, that means I'm going to have to leave the house around 5:30!

Pam~ I completely agree with you when you said, "I think each person has to decide for themselves if they're ready to lose weight..." This year I'm finally ready!! What in the heck took me so long, I don't know! I'm glad you've decide that now is the time for this lifestyle change. And as we're all in the same boat, heading for the same destination, I think we're going to make it this time!!

Stone~ I think it's cool that you and your mom have a rare and wonderful relationship. My mom and I didn't but I think my daughter and I do. I hope she thinks so too.

Pam, don't you just hate it when well meaning people give you their opinions? Who asked? And who's business is it, theirs?
Even family members have to give their two cents.....about what you should look like.
I remember......many moons ago.....when I was at the right weight. 105 lbs. (I'm only 5'2") I was healthy, felt good but my aunts, cousins and grandmother would tell me that I needed to gain some weight to be healthy. This coming from overweight people! My Grandmother.......God rest her soul.......hating to see any of her "children" thin.  Must be the Old World mentality. Mexicans aren't skinny. Or aren't' suppose to be.  Bah humbug!!!

Anyhoo, I say we all need to be at a goal where we know we're suppose to be. And you'll know it when you get there.

Thanks for answering the question of the week guys! I'm interested in seeing how and when you all exercise. For me, walking is all I can do....but just wait until I lose a good amount (I think about 20 lbs) and I bet I'll be able to do a whole lot more, like -eek- darn I say it?........jogging!

Monday morning blahs??
Today I've got two little ones here. A four yr. old and a three yr. old. I think they're going to be running circles around me!!
Needless to say I won't be walking today. I can't imagine taking them and a dog out. Oh no........no way José!

I'm going to have to do some indoor exercises I guess. Maybe Callanetics...

Irina, if only my body loved me enough too! I'm losing 1 to 1.5 lbs a week....I know, I know, it's a healthy loss......but dang it!!!

Congratulations on losing those 5lbs again! Don't go looking for them! Let them stay lost!!

Ugh.......I'm so full. I ate two beef fajita tacos.....mmmm....mmmm....good! But I think I might go for another walk tonight.  I don't like feeling this way.

Say, have any of you looked at your food journal from the time you started logging your food? I took a look at mine since I began and I was really pleased, for I've been making better food choices. I'm proud of myself!

 Good morning all and  *Happy Mother's Day!*

Irina~ My bad!! I meant to say Tab instead of your name!! ...hehehe... my little foster Grandchild would say it's because I'm old!

Amanda ~ Next week will be better! I'm gonna remind you of your word and ask you everyday.  (Jillian here I come!)  Surprised

Irina - You have some "hurdles" up ahead this week. But let me remind you to have fun, enjoy yourself at the festivities and be forgiving of yourself if you've overindulge a bit. Then hit the gym!! ...hehehe......

Cat - that sounds a awful like my sister's wii. We all set up an avatar and it keeps track of our weight's and such....even 'yells' at us when we're slacking off. The nerve......it's funny tho.

Pam - Amanda gave some good examples on what to eat if you have extra calories. I'm going to have to buy some fiber one bars too. Sounds like it would hit the spot!
My dear sweet lovable, goofy, hubby went and bought me two...TWO Pepperidge Farm cakes this morning! I didn't even ask for them!!! One is coconut and the other is lemon.  Darn that man!!!

Amanda - (thanks for signing your name!) Congratulations on your 3 lb loss!! Ya Hoo!!
Here's what I read from the original BL post;
"...weigh-ins will be accepted on Tuesdays-Thursdays each week.  Weights measures outside these days will not be accepted.  This is done to be sure we are all on a level playing field.  If anyone misses a weigh-in, their last posted weight will be used.
Each week the top two overall losers and top two weekly losers will be posted, as well as the team losers."


Although, my official weigh-in day is on Sundays (since I started CC) I've decided to re-weigh every Tuesdays and log that one.

Irina ~ Rollerblading is a good workout! Fun too I bet! You must have some strong legs fer sher!! I've never done Pilate's, but I've heard nothing but good things about it! When I get thinner I'm going to try it too. Boy, there's a lot of things I'm going to do when I get thinner!

Stone ~ I don't know.......I don't think I could do Jillian's workout. My daughter showed me some of her moves and I was like, "I'm suppose to be able to get in that position?!" With this big 'ol gut and big boobs, well, they all kinda get in the way!

Pam ~ I guess we all have a tendency to talk to the tapes! By the time a month was over I was able to say everybody's line from Walk Away The Pounds tape! LOL! Thank goodness I was always alone!
Now, about this "windmill," sounds like something I really need!! I'm going to have to look into that!

Well Chicas, time for me to call it a night!

Aunt Millie's huh? I wonder....would Wal-Mart have it? Sounds delish!

Tonight, I had to splurge. I ate 2 mini bagels with blackberry jam. Total cals.= 300. Thank goodness I had allotted calories for them!

Funny you say that you talk to Jillian, my daughter does too. Do you have the tape where Jillian says, "This isn't your mom's work-out tape!"  LOL! She's a Hitler!!

Anybody else struggling or has a particular struggle that you're battling?

I do. There are days (like last night) when I want something sweet like you wouldn't believe!! Today I'm so tempted to make some chocolate cupcakes!!

What's the solution?

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Stone ~ Jillian Michaels?!?!  Good Lawd!!! She's one tough lady!! I know....my daughter works out to one of her dvds and my daughter is as fit as they come...but afterwards....she'll come into my room and she looks like she's been through the ringer! Yesterday I told her that she looked like a hot mess!
I've got a new found respect for you Stone!

Irina ~ You've got it.......my support......I know how frustrated you must be feeling.  Your numbers look good to me, am I right team? And your workout schedule looks good too. I understand about your body hating you too. Mine seems to be hating me as well. But here's what I've decided, I'm going to keep on doing what I'm doing, which is exercising 5 to 6 days a week, watching my caloric intake, drinking tons of water and I'm confident that my body will resign to the fact that I'm whipping it into shape and get with the program! 
And one more thing..... I've learned to do is to ask myself this question every time I put something in my mouth......."Am I feeding the outer "Fat" me, or the inner "thin" me?
(and maybe you might want to take it easy on the wine, beer, brownies, and all of that good but bad for ya stuff girlfriend!) *wink*  Good thing it was once in a long while!  I'm pretty sure that had a lot to do with your small gain!
So Don't despair........Keep on keepin on!!

Stone, I like Leslie Sansone. I have a couple of her Walk Away the Pounds cd's. The only thing is, after doing them for about a month, I got bored. But she's good. Now Turbo Jam, I always heard good things about that. I should look into it!

So Cat what's the wii program you have? My sister has the wii fit and we weigh-in on it every Sunday. She does exercises on it. But other than that we don't do anything with it. 
Doing 15 min of cardio every morning sounds like a good plan. Helps kick start your day without caffeine (like I'm inclined to indulge in a cup, in order to wake up) Last week I went out at 5:30 one morning to walk. It was very nice. I'm thinking that should be a regular thing.

I just got back from walking and I have to say, I was a sweating fool! Think it's time I jumped in the shower!
