The Lounge Depressing thought... Oct 25 2007

Vanessa,

Will it be yellow polka-dot?

Maybe I should clarify my post...I am not depressed...it just seems like bikini season just passed and before you know it it will be here again.  I think that it is really a commentary on how fast time goes by.

I don't know about any of you guys but this year just seemed to FLY by.  I am not sure if it was because I was so focused on the passing of time in relation to my weight loss efforts or if it just went by fast.  Anyway, now that I am looking and feeling better I want it to slow down so I can enjoy it more.

Whatever happened to the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything"?

This site has really gone down hill when all you get from your post is a lot of negativity.

All you whiners managed to read and comprehend enough of this post to show your asses so what exactly is the complaint?

Must be that TOM!!!

Squats, squats and more squats.  In 4-6 weeks you should see a noticable difference.  I suggest that unless you have done them before you practice with no weight until you have GOOD form.

I did the fit for life way back in 1989.  You are talking Harvey and Marilyn Diamond Fit For Life right?  Anyway...I lost 100lbs in 3 months using their plan.  I did it STRICTLY by the book so I would say that my results are not typical.  But, I felt great while I was on their plan.

I suggest trying HIIT (high intensity interval training) for stubborn belly fat.  It really works wonders.  I have gone from a 40" waist to a 28" waist since January.  My stomach is flatter now then ever before in my life.

If you have access to a sauna or whirlpool I suggest using one or the other.  It really helps with muscle soreness.  If you don't have access to either of those a nice HOT bath will do wonders for you.  The soreness does get better in time.  I might also suggest an extra day of rest from working out.  Pamper yourself somehow. The great thing is it does get better the more you do it.

I too was having problems with bruising...I started taking a vitamin with iron and it stopped.  Maybe your iron is low like mine.  I would say try the vitamins first and if they don't work for you try to find a local health clinic.  The health clinincs here charge $15 a visit.  Or how about one of those "Little Clinics" they just opened in the Kroger stores...they charge $25 for most services.

He is home all day alone.  He has a computer business and works from there.  He does have time to see someone else.  I don't think that he is but...I could just be in denial.

My "gozangas" are still a 36dd so I don't think that is the problem.  I don't know of any other issues...

You are right "most" is an extreme gernerality...I should have said A LOT of men would be happy...

No he doesn't have any weight to lose.  He is tall and skinny eats what he wants and doesn't gain.  I was thin when we met and married...so I had no idea this would affect him like this.

My girlfriend says she thinks he is 'getting some on the side'.  I don't want to believe this but it has been 'months' now.

my little cousin began singing  "for he's a jockey sovello"  translation: for he's a jolly good fellow!  Boy did we all laugh we still tease her to this day!

My oldest son was jaundiced at birth and my aunt phyllis (by marriage) came to see us at the hospital and she proclaimed "oh, that baby's got the yellar jaunders"  I wanted to just crack up!

Here is some back story to the attack...Girlfriend of dog owner broke up with him earlier that day.  He later called girl and said he was gonna kill himself.  Girl called Sam and asked her to take her to guys house because he wasn't answering the phone.  When Sam and girl got there guy was unconscious in front yard.  Sam and girl start dragging him in his house.  I guess the dogs thought they were hurting him and attacked.   It is just sad all the way around.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and thoughts they are so very appreciated!

Here is the latest update in the saga "AS THE STOMACH TURNS"...

We took the animals to my boss' house last night and the cats are in hog heaven but the dog is still crying.  My boss has a friend that has some rental properties and I have an appointment at 5:45 to look at one of his houses.  He is gonna let us in with no money down and settle up later when the stuff with the MAN is resolved.

My new job is accountant for an architect and they keep a lawyer on retainer.  He got all the info from me today and said he will handle it!

I am so glad I took this job.  I almost didn't when the $hit hit the fan and we had no place to go.

Thank you all so much for letting me vent and for all your suggestions and encouragement.  I sure am glad I didn't throw myself off something!

I called them to check on my babies and the man told me my dog has cried since we left.

I started a new job today (for an architect) and they noticed I was upset (what a way to start out) so I told them what was going on and they are letting me use their lawyer to go after this man.  My boss said we could bring the animals to his farm until we could find a new place to live.  So things are looking up a bit.

They will hold them for me for a week.  I am hoping to make other arrangements before that time runs out.   I was crying so hard that they would have agreed to almost anything to get me to shut up!

I have contacted the courts in Evansville and they say we have to file a small claims case against guy.

I had to surrender all my animals to the humane society. We had to get 2 storage units because one was not big enough.  We are now living in a motel that charges $290 a week.

I am so ANGRY!!  I want to drive to Evansville and clobber that man.  I am officially broke and have no idea how we are gonna get out of this mess.
