The Lounge Can I go home yet? Aug 16 2006

I stopped because work has been soooooo bad that I figured I didn't need the added stress of counting everything I'm eating.  I never have a problem with eating too little (hence the need to lose weight) but I was doing ok eating healthy.  Now, though, I'm back up by 2 lbs and I'm not sure if it's because I'm near TTOTM or if I've actually put on the weight.

Also, oddly enough, my food budget is a lot less when I'm couting.  Probably because I don't eat out so much.  Even fast-ish food is expensive in San Francisco!

Ooo, where are you going?

Ummm... other people take smoke breaks, you're just taking a Hottie break?

I have decided that on Monday, regardless of the work situation, I will start counting calories again.  Must stock whatever apartment I'm in with healthy foods!

"Dumber than a box of nails"?  Nice, Kirs.  I guess I must still be a dog person (despite having 2 cats) because the thought of my girls torturing and killing something makes me nauseated.  They're both indoor kitties, though, so no worries on that front.

TJs is, indeed, the bomb.

Lizzle, GO TALK TO HIM!

Edit: Laurdie, I will be.  I'm here for another 9 hours.

Nice.  I wish my co-workers talked to me.

Edit: wow, that sounds pathetic.  Mostly, I wish this place was more social.

I like to cuddle, but only certain people.  I used to use my roomie as a pillow when we had boring classes together.  Of course, she'd do the same thing.

I used to not like being touched and still hate it when it's not someone I'm comfortable around.  It took me a long time to get used to hugging in greeting and now I think nothing of it.

I'm trying to think if I actually do play with anyone else's hair.  I think I do.  Not sure.  I know I pet Pudding all the time because he doesn't really appreciate it but he shaved his head, what does he expect?

Umm, yeah, that totally sounds like an offer of a date, but in such a way that he doesn't get shot down because he's not sure how you feel.

Oh, I'm putty in the hands of anyone who plays with my hair and I tend to pet people like cats.  I don't even always realize I'm doing it.

The Boy has long hair.  Longer than mine by a lot, actually.  I love playing with it and that seemed to surprise him.  I can't imagine why.  When it's down, I play with mine all the time.  I just almost never where it down.

Cute boys are always good!  Cute boys with long hair are even better.  Pity he buzzes it.

Yeah, it is a good reason.

I live alone so the bathtub is my problem.  I have a really uncomfortable one so I bought an inflatable bath pillow because, really, nothing beats soaking in a hot bath after a loooong cold day.  I love that I finally get to feel my fingers and toes again.

Edit: oooh, Kirs, do tell!

Why not?  Don't like soaking in your own filth?  My favorite thing to do (wasteful, though) is shower to get clean and then soak in a hot bath.  When I have my own house, the first thing I will do is buy a slipper back tub (one of the ginormous cast iron ones) so that I can soak in water up to my neck.

Someone in the "just can't live without" thread posted "books in the bathroom."  Do you guys read in the bath?  I do.  Actually, I want to go home right now, run a scalding hot bath and read for hours.  That would be soooo nice.

Mine is currently 70ish.  Not bad, given that I'm currently hopped up on caffiene and twitching to warm up.

On the plus side, my hands are warming up finally.  Adding an extra sweater helped.

Hehe, no such worries for me!  But I was thinking more along the lines of blood pressure in my case.  I don't know what mine is but hypertension runs in the family.

I dunno off the top of my head.  I'm guessing a lot, though.  It's not one of the things that I worry about, even though I should.

The weather here is f-ing freezing and it's cold enough that my fingers ache with it.  *sits on her hands*

Ugh, I ate too much at lunch.  Now I probably won't be hungry for hours, which is good.  Now if I could just get feeling back in my fingers... (it's COLD in here)
