Proud Mom---
My son is slightly overweight, the doctors haven't seemed too concerned about it but I am. It definitely runs in his dad's side of the family along with heart disease and diabetes. I do everything I can to ensure he is as healthy as possible. I ALWAYS pack his lunches...school lunch is pure junk. Plus this way I control what he puts in his mouth. I also give him breakfast as well. He is 5 years old and he knows what is healthy and what's not. He comes home and tells me that the kid that sits next to him eats an unhealthy lunch because he has chips everyday. He gets daily for lunch: Water, low sodium ham and fat free cheese and mayo sandwich on wheat bread. Low sugar yogurt, fruit cup or granola bar, or pretzels. He know never asks for chips or cookies or anything like that...he knows that sugar is bad for him. I occasionally let him have a treat but try and make it some what healthy. Habits start young. |

Correct. I know that there is no magic pill or shot. Both of my friends used the shots along with healthy eating and plenty of exercise. The B12 shot...or oral pill for that matter, from what I heard can increase metabolism, energy, help with depression and stress and I also read can help with allergies.
I eat healthy and work out. Just down to my last 10-15 pounds and was wondering if anyone found that B12 vitamin gave them a boost. Thanks again! |

I think you are my twin!!!!!! Everything you just said is everything I deal with in shopping. Knee high boots...forget about it. I've lost 15 pounds...I'm anywhere between 145-148 and 5'6" and I can not get a knee high boot to fit over my enormous calves! Grr... And same things goes with jeans...that's why the majority of mine have some sort of stretch in them. I get the size down and they fit over my thighs and fit my waist perfect.
But I've noticed since I've lost weight in my stretch jeans that once were so tight I had to lay down to zip them up...they slide on relatively easy and button no problem but once I wear them a few hours the waist loosens up and even thought they are still fitted to my thighs they slouch because my waist doesn't hold them up. |

Congrats! You look amazing! And I'm sure you feel just as good!!
I think it's especially important too since you have a child to be healthy and show good habits! Plus we want to be around along time to see them grow up! My son is one of my biggest reasons for making a lifestyle change. :) |

I'm not sure if this was already mentioned but my health nut boyfriend does this and when I do it, it seems to work.
Drink WATER! Between every bite of food. Put your fork, spoon, etc. down and take a sip of water. Not only does the water fill you up...apparently there are "sensors" in our brains that tells us every time will lift our hands to our mouth during eating that we are putting something in our mouths...or something like that. :) My boyfriend was a psychology major and did a lot of studies about overeating. I do it but not everytime I eat. Start out slow and do it every other bite or every 3 bites...just to get used to it. :) Good luck! |

Oh my gosh I thought I was the only one with this problem!!! Maybe I need to try this Fiber One. I've noticed since I've been eating better I'm having a hard time with being regular. When I ate crap all the time I was too regular!! I guess it was my body telling me it didn't like what I was doing to it.
Great!! Fiber One it is! :) |

| I notice a considerable difference in my weight and the way I feel...for example my skin...when I don't drink plenty of water. I drink one cup of coffee in the morning and water for the rest of the day. I think I just had my first diet coke yesterday for the first time in a month or so. I just love it and more I drink the more I want/need it. I pee all day long but I'm WAY less bloated/puffy when I do. My skin is softer and I always had dry chapped lips before and now I never do...I drink 3+ liters a day. | |||

I work 7:30-4:30 every day. I also take 2 classes a semester to finish my bachelors in Marketing. And I am a single mother of a 5 year old.
I work out at least 5 days a week doing something whether it's the gym, yoga, running or throwing on some sneakers in between classes to get a 45 minute walk in. I think it's really about time management. |

Chowder42-It's yoga performed in a studio where the temperature is set between 100-105 degrees. You sweat like crazy! I loved it. My skin felt so great and I can feel muscles that I didn't even know I had.
I spoke to a girl in my class and she said that she had lost a ton of weight doing it and just gained some back so had decided to come back to class. I'm eager to see what it does for me. :) |

Actually...I have fake ones and they are still different...so there! :) But they were very different sizes when I went in to see the doctor. They measure you from the inside tip of your collar bone to your nipple to find out if they are even (which even the doctor said, they never are). I think it's perfectly normal...no one is perfectly symmetrical either their breast, face or anything.
Any yeah...don't worry about the boys...you have a ways to go before you should worry about that! And a lot of growing to do. :) |

Sweeter...
I'm in the same boat. I'm almost to my goal of 135. I'm 5'6" and 145. I am perfectly content on how my upper body looks...it actually hasn't ever looked this good. I have definition in my arms, shoulders, chest and my six pack is more and more noticable as the weeks go by BUTT (pun intended) although I am losing fat on my lower half there is 0 definition. I feel you on the cellulite too...nasty little stuff, but it runs in my family as well. I feel so much better now that I've lost 15 pounds...even though I have 10 more to go...I'm going to Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios and I'M BUYING SOME SHORTS TO WEAR THERE!! I'm sick of being hot and sweating because I'm embarrassed of a couple of bumps...I'm starting to get the attitude of, "oh well, if people see it they see it and if they don't like it, they don't have to look!" hehehe :) |
