marco carlos: the 1562, sounds like it is your bmr. There's a bmr calculator on the site that should help you come up with a number.

I set mine at 1200 as a minimum intake. My bmr is somewhere in the 1900's, so I will have a maximum calorie burn of 700, and A minimum of 400 if I am good and don't go above 1500.

today: I went carb crazy! I have to stay away from peanut butter, bread and jam, stuff is going to really slow me down!

Laurieellen: i wouldn't mind if you came six montha or more in. I figure the more people, the more support.

Marco carlos: basically yes. I just set my calories to sedentary on the bmr, but my daily calorie intake is set to 1200. If i go over, still not so bad. If i work out, i eat extra to compensate. It's actually really cool in the calorie count. It will have your bmr set, and if you work out, it subtracts calories stating that you still need so much to burn. For example, since my bmr is 1900, and my calories are 1200, it will log the 1200 calories. If i work out, calorie camp will substact that from my initial 1200 calories i hace to meet for the day. So if i eat, 1300, and walk for 2 hours, calorie camp says i still need to eat 300 calories (since i burned 400 walking). Tge analisis page doesn't always show that. I hope that was clear, let me know if you need Clarification, or if my crazy babble makes sense.

Marco Carlos: you will have to post everything you do, but I've found t better to always know what I will always burn, rather than what I might be depending on how busy it is one day to the next.

Marco carlos: omg! My reading comprehension is so bad right now! I know what you're saying.

When you work out, it's been supressing your appetite, and you're having a hard time reaching your calories. Sorry again for misunderstanding!

Maybe some high calorie protein shakes with whey (or pea protein) to get you over that calorie slump. With berries, milk, maybe a banana and some flax seed for omega 3's.

Dunno, i'm rooting for you, and hope your break goes ok.

Marco carlos: it sounds like a good idea to take a break. Your body might be stresses and holding obto weight. You'll drop. Have you measured yourself recently? MYbr you've lost some inches, but gained some muscle. I always turn to the measuring tape when thw scale won't talk to me.

I'm confused too, are you eating a little more on workout days, or is it just not logging your calories out wheb you do work outs? Sounds like something might be logging wrong.

I always set by bmr at sedentary, and add whatever i do for the day, otherwise i stayed at the same weight, and i stuggled ao hard, and wondered why. Mayve it will work for you, (that is if you already haven't tried that.)

tonight for dinner it's home made green tomato sauce with zucchini instead of pasta. I've been slurping on a blackberry smoothie since I got home this afternoon. I've been feeling full pretty much all the time, which is fantastic. As long as I stay away from peanut butter and bread, things should stay the coarse. Today I am at 196! I can't wait to see what tomorrow's weigh in will bring. Even if it stays the same, I will be happy!

How is everyone else doing with your workouts, and hardships?

I've been eating tons and still losing weight! I haven't even completely gotten rid of bread. At the end of the night, I'm always like 4 pounds heavier than my lightest, then when I wake up, I'm .2 pounds down from my lightest. It's blowing my mind! I'm 197.6 today. all these raw vegetables and fruit are amazing!

Other than that I haven't been up to much. Last night I got so tired I couldn't sleep. I had to stay up, someone was coming over, otherwise I don't think I would have missed that window.

noelsyrodriguez: september 15, you say? that's about a month for 30 pounds! That's quite a lot of weight. I think most of us here lose up to 3-4 pounds a week on a really energy charged seven days. We can help you with motivation, but I don't know if 30 pounds will come off if you are tryingto be healthy about it. I can say about 15 or 10.

newchangenewlife: Glad to hear that you love calorie counting, I rely on it to keep me from ballooning up. In fact, I've been doing it for years, and when I stop, oh no!  I'm glad to see you here! The medical problems that you are having sound like hell, and it's good that you are trying to make a positive change to make your life better. That's so sweet that the best reward is seeing your kids grow. sometimes just finding an inspiration that is more than just weighing less is what one needs to keep going until the end. I'm very glad to meet you, and it doesn't matter if you have a goal date. Just stick around and talk. tell us what inspires you, or makes things difficult when you can come in and chat!

marco_carlos: That's great to hear! A whole 4 dress sizes! Good advice, if there are leg problems it's best to find alteratives until your body can handle the stress.

sorry I was gone for so long! I was house sitting, and there was no internet access. If my boyfriend wasn't there, and there wasn't one of those cool perpetual pools, I would have gone crazy.

So my boyfriend is thinking about going on the paleo diet to help his blood pressure. As an act of love, and to experiment, I will be going a vegan route with the paleo thing, with him. This means no bread, no grains, legumes or extra sugar that does not come from nuts, fruits and vegetables. I might go crazy, but Monday, I will be going 30 days. I will kind of slide into it, probably not getting rid off all extra bread and sugar until at least Wednesday or Thursday.&n bsp;

I am at 198.00 for our official Sunday weigh in. I will keep the challenge work outs you all recommended! they seem to be expediting my weight loss!

so I'll keep you updated on how that goes. Sorry I'm so patchy! Feel free to stick around and chat when I go MIA, I'm quite busy all the time, and when I'm not busy I might be in bed. I can get sick quite often, and sometimes writing in bed with the cc app can be a hassle. it doesn't mean that I'm not reading what you guys are up to,  and rooting for your weight loss and advancement!

darkrose79: way to go wating healthy and tricking your nephew into it! OMG! congrats on your loss, I think last time you posted you were 214!

marco_carloes: kicking butt at the gym! you're proabably gaining muscle if your measurements are going down. How have you been doing this last week?  I'm totally in for the challenge! keep me updated on how you are doing! If you ever get bored, look at a place called ZuzkaLight on youtube... she used to work with another work out team, but she always gets me geared up to work out, and she's so nice!

where is everyone? I guess I'm not a very good forum host.

I'll keep my progress here in case someone decides to join me again.

I've been lazy these last couple of days. I've been in the pool, and in the air conditioning. My body hates these 100 degree days. Don't want to each much, but yesterday I got some rice dream chocolate fudge dessert, and I'm super excited about it.

Water! I must drink tons of water!

hoping others come back. I R lonely.

So hot! Almost 100 degrees outside. Waiting for the cool down so I can do the challenge workout, and work on some hoola hoop tricks. I swear, it's the best workout equipment I've gotten. It's just been so much fun. It also relaxes me, and I am in the moment when working with it. Bruised hands from some of the tricks, but I don't care when it's so much fun.

This week, I'm going to reduce the amount of carbs I get from bread, and try to get most of them from fruit, vegetables, and beans. I haven't been so bad with bread lately, but I feel the carb monster coming on, and I must avoid it!

How is everyone doing with the challenge so far? How are the jumping jacks? How was weekend eating, vacation, what's on your mind?

Lazy day, I'll get my challenge workout tonight. I ate a ton today, and I anticipate that I'll eat quite a bit tomorrow, but I've got lots of errands to run and lots of walking, so I think that I should be on track.

Ng: oh what tattoos did you and you man get? Hope you had tons of fun!

Carlos: great job with the planks! Those kill me whenever I do yoga. I'm going to take your advice and add in the other calisthenics into the challenge workout.

Jumping jacks comlete! Wasn't so bad, it was the push ups i put in between sets that ended up killing me. Weak arms.

So tired fyer work, but i got my record collection in order, and i can finally listen to some albums i've been holsing onto.

Calories today were around 1500, so not so bad.

Congrats fpr finishing monday's challenge!

hey everyone! Good news! I am in onderland! 198.6 for the official Sunday weigh in. I know that it won't drop off this fast in the future, but I'm enjoying the time that it is. I'm hobbling around a little bit, twisted my ankle on the deer trails yesterday, someone put a trip wire, I would have been much happier if they would have put a private property sign instead of me tripping, and getting all dizzy for the rest of the day. oh well, I had a good birthday other than that. I just have to wind down enough so I can get up in a chipper mood for work tomorrow. Hopefully I can finally finish up the children's section!

darkrose: I'm glasd to hear your conquering your weakness with sweets. We've all got things that tempt us. Mine have been oreos, potato chips and peanut butter. WTG on your clothes getting looser, it's always a sign of progress when the scale refuses to give anything up.

Marco_carlos: I'm trying to think of light vegetables. that stinks that it wrecking havoc on your stomach. could it be the fiber? you're hardcore on your workouts.

mannyr24: good job on your weight! your meals look delicious!

1st week challenge: I'm psyched. 100 jumping jacks, here i come (with heavy breathing!)

work was pretty long today. Maybe because I'm not used to being at the shop on Thursdays. No problem though, Although I have yet to finish the task of unappetizing the children's book section. I really hope I am able to finish on Monday. I'm around 200 today, but I'll change my official weigh in to sunday for the week, so I'll see How I have progressed from 205 for my last official weigh in!

Had an awesome tomato salad, plums and coconut water for lunch. My mom stopped by and gave me a soy yogurt, which I'll probably eat tonight for dessert after I decide what I am having for dinner.

other than that, I'm still a bit tired from the weekend, and will probably be calling it an early night if I can lull myself to sleep.

ng185: congrats on your loss! you just keep dropping off pounds! have fun on your vacation!

cherhorowitz: I feel the same about the 150 mark, it's been so long since I've been there, probably middle school. I <3 hot sauce too!!! welsome to the group! congrats on getting into the 180's! challenges sounds fun, I'm in, what do you recommend?

marco_carlos: hey, one of the best things you can do to help yourself stay motivated it talk to other people. We're here for you! One of the things that helps me is tons of water. my body was giving off the same signal for hungry and thirsty, I alwyas try to make sure I get enough water before even going into a meal. Last night for dinner I had vegetable kabobs with squash, onions, orange peppers, and gardein beef substitute. super low calorie, and I felt like I was going to explode! my snacks have been fresh fruit and tomatoes since it is the season. a little salt and pepper on a tomato, and I'm so happy! I also make my own trail mix with dried fruits, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and wasabi peas for spice.

darkrose: fiberous vegetables! squash, carrots, broccoli. I'm a fiend for snacking on these. I used to go for potato chips (and sometimes still do, but i use my scale to make sure I only eat one serving or less.) putting things in one serving baggies always helps me stop from gorging myself. congrats on not touching that candy bar!

doenutty/donnacov: thanks for joining the group. keep us informed about how your goals are going when you start working on changing your habits!

mannyr24: my whole family is similar. When I was younger, I thought it was genetics, but then I came to realise that it was just habits being passed down through the family that made me so big. you're eating to clean! I'm jealous! I'm totally rooting for you!

Hi everyone!

It's been a while! I was out camping in the Woods and attended the Reggae On the River Festival for the rest of the weekend. It was a blast. The friends that I went with were very laid back, and they even brought me a portebella for burger night.

I ate tons, and I swore that I would have gained weight, but I ended up losing 5 pounds while I was away! It really motivates me to eat whole food like I did while I was out in the wilderness.

ng1985: hey welcome in, sorry it was so slow the first week, Congrats on your current weight loss! Ups and downs happen, I hope that you make it to your goal for your honeymoon in mexico next year! keep posting! i look forward to getting to know you!

daisyflame: that's super impressive getting down from 300! I agree, it's so hard to try and talk to people about cc when they aren't really there or understanding where you are coming from. I recommend it all the time, and they kinda swipe it away. I want to see you around loads!

have a good day everyone, see you soon!

So, I realize I'm in here infrequently. Like so much so that it doesn't really seem to make an impact, and I don't know anybody. I realised when I was really active in another forum post, I really kept on track and cared. Being all seclusive because I think I'm doing a horrible job isn't really good for me.

I feel bad, cause you all are doing great! Even with the slip ups, and when you do well, you're still talking to one another and have the support you need to make it through the day. I just wanted to let you know that you girls are awesome!

I don't think that I will make it to my goal weight by october, in fact I'm pretty sure that's not the case since I've for a butt ton to go, so I will have to find a different forum post that's more along my lines.

just know that you are all really inspiring, and I lurk often. like a creeper.

today is my first day of low carb and sugar for 90 days! I'm excited. I plan on rewriting my plan at the end of every month depending on how I am doing. After learning that sugar feeds tumors, I'm really motivated to keep it as low as possible for a life change. And that also means staying away from artificial sweeteners. still vegan, but I was cheating really bad for a while... just now getting back in the seat.

kathryn: I am almost at the beginning again. I am at 206... again. at least I', not at my heaviest. I would cry. tough stuff lead to be just not caring for a few months. it's crazy that a few years work can be totally dismantled in a few months. hey, I would try for 1 pound a week if possible. I think you could keep going with that in mind. lots of swimming if possible to keep too much strain off your ankle.
