Welcome back winegirl! :) Are you currently training for a race? That probably helps keep you motivated so if not do you need to find one? Otherwise maybe take a break from running and do something else for activity for a bit then go back to it. :) Welcome misbutterfly. :) Feel free to jump right in. Been a bit slow around here lately. We need more daily participation. I've been on vacation so not as regular lately. I'll be back home some time over the weekend. Still working on the food thing. Need to get some activity in today. Too busy with traveling and stuff the last couple of days. Actually my sister and I went shopping on Mon so did a lot of walking at least! ;) Still not looking forward to facing the scale when I get home though. |

debm8- welcome to the group. :) Been a little slow around here lately. Hopefully things pick back up again. Great job on your progress so far, keep it up! Been on vacation since the 15th and still in the middle of it. Been getting in some good workouts but too many sweets. Need to try and do better. Hope everyone had a good weekend. :) |

Sounds to me like this is your body's "happy weight" and maybe you shouldn't mess with it. I would concentrate on body composition and set some fitness goals instead. You could lose inches, shape up and not really have to lose lbs on the scale. :) What do you typically eat now? You could just try to eat more healthy and you might lose a few lbs just cleaning up your diet, depending on what you eat of course. |

Today went better, cardio this AM and no junk food today. Still not sure about weighing in tomorrow, overall not a very good week food wise. Guess we'll see if I get brave. How is everyone else doing? |

Just because your hormone tests came back in the "normal range" may not mean that is normal for you. You might consider an anti-ageing/naturopath or something for more in-depth testing. Or it is possible sleep is causing issues. I also have terrible sleep and think it's not helping me right now. Would like to lose 10 more lbs and I know I have not been strict on my counting but not overdoing either and feeling like I am going the wrong way. When I do get strict about counting and exercise, I'm not seeing the scale move like it used too. Our body is not a machine and there are a lot of things than can affect weight loss other than cals in/cals out, unfortunately. For sleep I am cutting caffeine, using flux on my computer at night, trying to get to bed earlier and just started taking melatonin along with my magnesium. We'll see what happens. |

Up early for BW circuits and TM sprints. Then visit the track for the kids elementary track meet. Worked until almost 6 PM then supper and home. Did pretty well on eating until mid afternoon, then found the dark choco M&M's and a couple cinnamon donuts when I got home. I am blaming TOM that showed up this afternoon. :( Better luck tomorrow! |

To much indulgence over the weekend and a few drinks, all added up to a hungover feeling for about 2 days afterwards. Not worth it. :( I'll have to remember that next time I am tempted to indulge. Back to exercise and healthy foods as of yest. Need to keep it up. Planning BW circuits and sprints before work tomorrow. Where is everyone? This is getting depressing. :( |

How is everyone's weekend going? Didn't weigh in until this morning since I was gone yest. BW: 227 LW: 148 CW: 147 GW range: 135-140 Did good on my workouts, eating not so much. Too much junk food. Will keep plugging away. Wedding reception for SIL tonight. Need to do laundry, cleaning and baking today, not in the mood. At least the 3 youngest kids went to MIL's last night and I have a quiet house! |

Stats would be a good place to start, age, height, weight, sex, cal intake, exercise routine. We don't know how to help if we don't know what you are doing. |

I'm glad you stopped counting but I still don't think you are eating enough. :( More protein would be good and where are your healthy fats? |

How old are you and how long did it take you to lose 1 stone? 900-1000 cals is not enough, even if you don't "feel" hungry. Your body needs fuel! Your BMR is around 1400 cals, what you would burn in a coma and you are not laying around in a coma. You should calculate your activity level as lightly active at least, figure out your total burn then subtract 500 cals from that to get your correct intake. Also, it looks like you are short on protein and healthy fats. |

More info please, height, weight, current cal intake, exercise routine, etc. This will help people see where you might change things up and be more successful. |

I really think 1380 was way too low to begin with. I lost most of my weight on 1600 and I was 43 at the time. Started at 227, currently around 145. Also, you said you upped your cals for 2 weeks. That is not nearly long enough to see if it made a difference and what did you up them too? Stress and lack of sleep can also play a big role so see how you are on those issues too. You have come a long way and should be proud of yourself! I agree with eating at maintenence for a few weeks/ maybe even a month or two and giving your body a break from cal restriction. |

Ended up eating too much junk yest, trying to do better today. Rest day for exercise. At least the sun is shining and we didn't get any more snow! Planning another workout in the morning and my daughter has her 2nd field trip for school and I'm riding along. Should be fun! Hope everyone is having a good week. :) |

Ann- good to hear from you. :) Are you getting snow from this current system? I think they said Denver was. Yard work is hard work! I would call it exercise. :) Good job on those walks. I'm trying not to over do on the food, be mindful but not count. Having mixed results. We'll see. Up at 6 Am for my workout, some incline sprints and jogging on the treadmill and then 3 circuits of BW exercises. I really wasn't feeling it but cranked up the music and did a good warmup then it got better. I really like having it done so I don't have to think about it for the rest of the day! Off work so catching up at home. Cold and damp but no snow here, thank goodness. We need spring. How is everyone else doing? |

Busy weekend on call but managed to get my exercise in, including this morning. Worked again today then home tonight. Had 1/2 a caramel roll and 1/2 a cookie today. I actually consider that progress because typically a taste would lead to way overeating. Also really trying to stick to the "eat when hungry" rule. Not the "eat when bored/emotional/depressed/stressed/just want to eat" rule! Hope everyone had a good weekend and sure would be nice to see some regular posters around here! |
