Like most said, it's up to the other person to decide when they're ready, otherwise they wont stick with it. With that said, they sometimes need a bit of prodding to determine they are ready ;D. Try and start out light, do some inclusive activities such as hiking, biking, whatever. If you're getting pretty sexy, don't be afraid to talk about yourself occasionally. Get the idea into his head that your hard work paid off, and you realize it. As harsh as it sounds, sort of tug on his insecurity. If my wife was looking significantly better than me, and started taking notice of her new found sexiness, I would make it a point to work on myself before [In my mind] she started thinking she could do better than me. My wife even acknowledged this mentality, when I started getting back in shape, she was like "oh hell, now I gotta start before you get too sexy for me" (we can joke like that). This of course doesn't apply to everyone, just sayin'. |

1. I want to be fit again. 2. I want to swear snazzy clothes and not look stupid. 3. I want sex to be better, I've noticed since I got fat again, my stamina is shot. 4. I want ENERGY again, to be able to spring up out of bed no matter how much sleep I did, or didn't get. 5. I don't really feel like dying younger than I should to something trivial. I'd rather go out doing something fun when I'm good and ready. |

Well, your current height/weight puts you at 23.7 BMI, which is in the high range of "Normal". You would have to drop to roughly 125 to hit the "Under Weight" bracket. Unless he physically examined and tested you (More than just an observation just from not seeing you in 6 months), I see no reason why he would recommend you stop losing weight. You were losing the weight at a safe rate. 2lbs per week isn't bad. Maybe some pharmaceutical company who makes diabetes medications pays him a handsome amount to prescribe it |

Just remembered why I stopped posting on these forums. You try to be nice and answer a question, and someone always replies dissecting your post and changing the question.
I answered the OP question. If you want to start another thread talking about the differences between men and woman and their confidence, go for it. |

From my experience yes, I felt AMAZING after losing almost 80lbs. went from 230 to 155, single digit body fat. I had energy all the time, I always felt like I wanted to be up doing stuff, I didn't feel like a lazy useless husband and father. I wasn't as irritable, I was noticeably happier. I've since put on about 30lbs again (I'm in the process of losing that now mind you) and even a 30lbs weight gain makes me feel lethargic and crappy.
I'm not going to be able to speak for anybody else but me, but all philosophical mumbo jumbo aside, I did love myself and who I had become once I lost my weight.
Here's my time line/before and afters. Hell, you can actually see my smile get bigger as I lost weight :P hahaha

I knew I would get some feedback on that comment, I tried hard to specify that it was in my opinion. Please feel free to check out my gallery tho, it shows my journey from 230 to 153. Now, stopping at 160 this time is my plan, so, use your imagination lol. Excellent suggestion, I had completely forgot about that. It's just been throwing me off that I haven't seen actual weight loss. I personally don't want to end up 175-180lbs of muscle, I was like that in high school and did not like being that bulky, plus it's not beneficial when rock climbing to HAVE lots of muscle, it's better (for me, in my opinion) to be leaner and strong. |

5'10, and because that's where I looked and FELT the best.
Edit: Plus, that's the weight I need to be to fit into my 3 other pairs of slacks I haven't been able to wear in 6 months. I really don't like buying new pants, and people in my office are probably starting to notice I've been circulating 3 pairs of pants for months now :P ahahah |

Well, once I break my diet and consume nothing but sweets/simple carbs, it's nearly impossible to get back on. So about 2 months ago I was doing well, started going from 170 back down to 155, ended up breaking my diet at around 157 and am probably back up around 168ish. The cravings that always screw me up are sugary cereals, chips and dip, candy bars, extreme sweets like cake and such. And PIZZA.... That is one food I can't limit myself with. So this is my first post in a couple months on here and I'm kinda doing it to take some initiative, tonight my wife and I are going back to the gym, and I've started the day off very well so far. Hope I can keep it up :) |

Sometimes a little bit of everything. It's cool when you go to a cache that in an undeveloped hill surrounded by new houses, and you get a beautiful city view :) Other than that it's a lot of caches located at historical buildings or sites, or just some really clever spots. Most hiders pride themselves off having caches that are very clever, that can sometimes be in plane site but never noticed unless you REALLY LOOKED. For example.... here's my facebook album of some cool or clever caches :) Very good example of urban geocaching. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2050186 &id=1176952975&l=2f31124a7f |

I'm in a heavily urban area, so my impact on nature is minimal, in fact it's probably more proactive towards improving it. Example, lots of geocachers practice CITO, aka Cache in trash out, where you pick up trash while finding caches :) http://www.geocaching.com/cito/ |

Beautiful pictures! Surprised there was still snow (Oh how nice that would be on a 102 degree day like today)
I'll admit I havn't been climbing as much as I'd like to lately. Only been hitting the rock gym once every week and a half or so :(
I'm hooked on this new hobby Geocaching. http://www.geocaching.com/ basically get a handheld gps device or smart phone, download coordinates from the website, and set out to find these "caches" that have a log that you sign (and replace) some have toys that you can trade out. Some take you to really awesome places you'd never have thought to go otherwise. I'm hooked |

yeah, as you can see from mine, I get a good amount of the healthy fats from those wasabi and soy sauce almonds, and those immediately dent my grade every time >< they only have a C+ according to CC. But it's soooo nice when I'm very high on carbs and lagging behind on the fats/proteins. |
