Okay so this week is not a true weight loss. I actually only lost a 1/2 a pound this week which I'm still thrilled about. I was so worried at the beginning of the week when I had a 2.5lb fluctuation. Thank goodness I bounced back. I had some bathroom issues this week so I guess that's what contributed to that. Anyway I'm very happy with the way this week turned out. I weighed Monday, I'm just posting today. I have no idea how I could gain 2.5lbs in just a few days. I thought maybe it was water but the weight still hasn't went back down. It's driving me crazy! All I can do is buckle down and hang in. Maybe Friday will be better. :)

I didn't have a loss for the week but I did maintain. I also started The Biggest Loser for the wii this week. I'm doing the light program because my doctor wants me to go slow until I get some more weight off. I've done 2 workouts so far. Neither bothered my health issue and both went pretty good considering I could actually breathe since I don't smoke anymore. Hopefully I will stick with the whole 12 week program this time. I think it would really boost my weight loss.

@amayou82- I don't have much to say to you...considering you rocked the last challenge we did, lol! Good luck with P90X. I tried it once before my health issue and it was really hard but it will flat work the pounds off while toning at the same time. Let us know how it goes if you decide to add it to your routine. :)

MY GOAL FOR THIS CHALLENGE IS TO LOSE 10LBS.

So here we are again. I hope to see everyone from the last challenge and lots of new people as well. I feel very motivated today. The last challenge you did, satyrswoman, really made me feel accountable for my weight. Which I believe is why I lost 11lbs!!!! This being the second time around, I feel super empowered this morning. I'm so thankful for this challenge. To the newbies out there...stick with this. It works! It's amazing to be able to look back on 12 or 13 weeks and see your progress, good or bad, and understand the things you need to work on. Man, I could write a book this morning. I better stop, lol. Thanks amayou82, You have done an awesome job as well. I'm really hoping to see all of you all again when they start the next challenge. This challenge has really helped me. I was really worried that I would gain big time when I quit smoking. Somehow though, knowing I had to weigh in here, really kept me in line, lol. :)

So all I can say for my final weigh in is...WOW! I have tried really hard this last week. But I cannot believe I lost 2lbs. I know that's way too fast but I honestly couldn't help it. I guess I had been stuck for so long that it just came off quick now that I'm over that hump.

I want to say that this has been an amazing challenge. You have all done so well. I so hope that we can all join up again on the next challenge.

That is so crazy that our situations are so much alike! Maybe my story was meant for you to hear.

 I did chew alot of gum the first couple of weeks just so that I wouldn't replace the cigarettes with food. I will say that my calorie intake went up for the first couple weeks. Instead of having a deficit I basically broke even and just maintained. I'm back at it now though, lol. I was so afraid I would gain weight after quiting but thank goodness I didn't gain a pound. :)

I quit once before after finding out I was pregnant. He was born early also. So I had only quit for about 6 months. The entire time I craved it though. That was one of the first things I thought about after the delivery. Isn't that awful and sad? But I guess none of us are perfect. I started back as soon as we got home from the hospital. That was 5 years ago. This time is so different. I don't want it anymore. I just can't tell you how good that feels. Not only do I feel physically better but I feel spiritually and emotionally better as well. I feel so proud to say I'm a nonsmoker.

Of course I have nothing against you smokers out there. And yes I do think you can be a smoker and a Christian at the same time. Everyone has a different walk. Mine just didn't involve smoking. Of course health wise none of us should smoke. It's just not healthly. But neither is me not eating all of my fruits and veggies like I'm supposed to, lol. :)

I smoked a pack a day or more for over 7 years. Cigarettes completely controlled my life. I was told I had a touch of asthma yet I continued to smoke. I smoked with the window down in the car with my son knowing the smoke wasn't all going out. I smoked in the house under the stove vent also knowing that some of the smoke was coming right back in toward my little boy. I woke up coughing and hacking every morning despite the fact that I'm only in my twenties. I even gave myself a dry socket after having a wisdom tooth cut out. I couldn't even quit for a few days in order for my mouth to heal first. I planned my life around my addiction. I refused to ride in someone's non-smoking car if the road trip was more than an hour. And yes I had a really hard time exercising. Smoking controlled me.

As I'm sure there are some who wont agree with me I'm not forcing you to try this method. But I am telling you that it will work if you try it. The answer is JESUS. Smoking was part of my conviction but I could obviously not quit on my own. So I finally just handed my addiction over to the Lord. I told him to take the addiction away. I prayed for strength. Through one faithful prayer my addiction was gone. I have not picked up a cigarette in 2 months. Nor do I have the desire to do so. I didn't have to pay a fortune for medication that I couldn't afford. I didn't have to go through withdrawls. My medicine was free and it worked.

I haven't worked out in a while due to some stomach problems but those problems are almost 100% better so I'm slowly working my way back into exercising. So far I can tell a big difference. I don't get as winded during physical activity. I feel like I have more enrgy as well. If you smoke you can still work out because I did many times. But it is much easier to exercise as a non smoker. Also I recently got sick and it was the first time in my life I didn't have to get an antibiotic. Maybe it's related and maybe not. But in the past when I got sick I kept on puffing and always went from 0 to 90 real quick. This time I'm healing up without antibiotics. It feels great to know that I'm taking better care of my body.

Just as an added note. My Mom smoked for 25 years and she has been cigarette free for almost a year. She quit while having to live with a smoker (my Dad who smokes 2 packs a day). If she did it anyone can. Don't give up if you are trying to quit. You can do it!

@satyrswoman- I really like the idea of another challenge like this one. If you started it next Monday we could do 12 weeks until Christmas. Maybe we can draw in a huge crowd for the next challenge! :) I really am sad that this one has to end. I did really great in the beginning but the last couple of weeks I have really slacked off. If we did another 12 week challenge we could all start fresh with a new goal.

I got rid of that stubborn pound I gained last week. I'm still stuck at the same weight that I have been for about 3 weeks but I'm happy with how far I've came. :)

I'm not very happy with this one. Only because when I weighed yesterday morning I was down an extra pound. I gained that back and plus 1. Maybe it's because I ate soup beans last night for dinner. I ended up having almost 30 grams of fiber yesterday when I'm only used to 18-20. I feel bloated, lol. Have a great weekend everyone!

My hubby and little boy were up all night with a virus Thursday night so I didn't go to work on Friday. That's why I didn't log my weight. Sorry again for being late.

Anyway I am so excited about this last pound that I've lost. I did horrible over the weekend. Saturday we went to my nephew's birthday party and I had a burger, a hot dog, and a huge chunck of brownie. That was silly of me. But I did keep that pound I lost, last week, off...somehow.

Congrats to everyone and I can't believe we only have 4 weeks left! Let's make it count!

I did alot better yesterday and I feel like I'm getting back in my grove. I think I just needed to adjust to not smoking. I even lost a pound! Congrats to everyone.

No weight loss still but at least I didn't gain. I wont lie...I did really bad this weekend. I think it's harder to keep myself in check since I quit smoking.
