I am 51 years old, happily married and currently overweight. Anybody that sees my pictures say I am fine the way I am but they only see what I allow them to see in the pictures. I currently weigh 159.5 (started last week at 163) and this is the highest I have been. All thru growing up I could never get over 110 pounds; I complained that jeans did not fit the way I wanted them too - well I don't complain about that anymore. I am self conscious of my stomach (that is where the weight sits) and always wear a long shirt to cover it up.

My biggest change has been my consumption of Mountain Dew - that was my huge vice. I am now down to a max of 2 8oz glasses a day and trust me - that is a HUGE improvement. I am watching more of what I eat - more salads, fruits, vegetables and if something has a serving size - I stick to it. Junk food has not been much of a problem for me as I have slowly lost my taste for most junk food. I drink a lot more water now and take my treadmill seriously.

If I could get down to maybe 130 and tone up what I have I think I could be happy and that is what I am shooting for. My husband supports me 100% and told me yesterday he was proud of me for getting thru the first week and doing so well; he hasn't even heard about the 3.5 pounds I lost.
