I have never been married but have 18 neices and nephews. I have worked for the same company for over 23 years.  Jesus Christ became Lord of my life in 1985 and he also became the love of my life.  I have been overweight as far back as I can remember and have just dealt with it because honestly, I love junk food and the years have told on me. Give me bread, and sugar and I was happy.  Then I began feeling pretty bad last year following a hysterectomy. I thought if this is what life has left me, then I am ready for Heaven - I was pretty miserable. Thinking I had a bladder infection, I went to the doctor to find out my sugar level was 300, wow, I had diabetes.  I did not know much about it so I was not nearly as upset as the doctor, until I came home and did some research and learned about all the problems associated with diabetes. Then I learned that exercise, diet, and a lifestyle change could turn things around. I had a chance to live and after surviving cancer the year before I was not about to throw in the towel.  A wonderful friend gave me Leslie Sasone's "Walk Away the Pounds Express" DVD, my doctor talked to me about nutrition, and several friends and family commited to pray for me and my journey has begun and I plan on it being a wonderful experience - a life changing experience, a new me experience and I refuse to give in or shrink back - I have saddled up my horses and I am ready for the ride!
