| Bio | My goal weight is 120-130 lbs. I want to lose 2.5 lbs per week to reach this goal by July 10, 2008 or by the end of the summer, since I currently weigh 148 at 5'4". The date in July is not set in stone for me but I need a goal date to keep me motivated, so if by this date I still don't reach my goal weight, I will extend the date by 1-2 months, until I reach my goal weight. I am 27 years old and I want to get into shape and stay that way before I turn 30. This is going to be a lifestyle change for me not just a quick fix to lose weight. I have two young children now that I would love to see eating healthier now to teach them the right way for the rest of their lives. I don't want them to starve themselves like I did for years to stay thin. I used to be 110 lbs and a size 3, which was still not small enough for me. Then I had my first daughter and I found a new reason to not kill my body through starvation. Then the lbs flew back on my body and fast when I started eating food again. Now I am determined to get healthy the right way, even if it takes me years. I have been working out and eating healthier since February 28th. I have learned a lot by reading posts from other members. One of the main things that I have learned is that it takes time to get into a healthier shape. It does not happen over night or (for me) even within the first 30 days. I didn't even see any results until 2-2.5 months after I started working out regularly so I want to thank everybody that wrote posts or asked questions that I never did ask. You have all taught me so much. I now know how to eat better and where I need to be to attain my goals. |
