Hi Sam- Yes; it wouldn't be a problem. I don't have a guest room; but we have space in the den for our aero bed (or comfy couch), we do have a bathroom on the 1st floor which is good. You would have to take the Long Island Railroad into Penn Station and take a subway or a cab to get to the City; it's about 45 minute ride. The station is about 5 minutes from my house. I live in Suburbia :) I did the commute for a looooong time, now I work on the Isalnd and drive to work. Julia has strep throat, boo, i hate it when she's sick. But today she told me she "feels better" so that's good. althought trying to get meds in her is less than thrilling. Even pink bunny couldn't get her to take it. carina and julia just light up my life every day and I am so lucky for my beautiful lil girls!!! how are everyone's lil ones doing? Amy I can't believe Isa turned 1. I still remember all of us being pregnant!!! |

oh. an baby fever? I've got it bad. but I have paraguard so there's no way i can get preggo now. probably for the best b/c in a peak of fever, i may "accidentaly" miss a few. I'm very fertile and that would be bad! |

Sam- stay at my house in May. We'd have a blast. talk soon- i just saw that, sorry, so busy w/ work today.
You're right Abigail- housework and laundry are ENDLESS. 2 kids and a husband I feel like I should just swim in chewed/moist goldfish, dirty clothed, and chocolate fingerprints everywhere. (julia's discovered easter candy recently) love you all! |

Your uterus is expanding to build a home for your growing baby. Your fluid levels are higher and your hormones are increasing which could cause slighly water retention. When I was preggo w/ my frst I was 115lbs and the first few weeks I was significantly bloated. Please make sure to keep eating healthy foods and talk to your doc about any concerns you may have with gaining weight. |

wow do I have a lot of catching up to do.....OMG i miss you ladies and CC wouldn't let me back in, I had to reset my password a gazillion times.
Carina is SO big i can't believe she is a year old. i'd have another one if they weren't so expensive, I'm going back and forth about a third. I love them. they are just so much fun. julia is a great sister and they actually PLAY with each other. It is SO cute and fun and lovely to watch them. I'm seeing some busy mommas, so trying mommas and returning to work mommas! wow, time really flies and I cannot tell you how much I missed talk to all of you.
I'm back and starting the Beck Diet - it's a cognitive therapy diet book that gives you excercises to ID real hunger vs, boredom, cravings, and controlling binges. mIne have gotten out of control and I actually named Andrew my Diet Coach lol. I need serious help. I'm still 152 pounds and that is too much for me.
anyway, i love seeing everyones beautiful (and big!) little ones on FB.

I found a job closer to home, well, not really but I drive to work instead of relying on a train schedule so there is some commute time lifted, about 20 minutes. My new schedule is: 4:45AM: Get Up. 5AM: Gym. 6AM: Pack bags and pack the car, get breakfast ready to take upstairs. ( i know bad habit). 6:20AM: Wake up 3 year old. Give her her yogurt and snuggles. Brush my teeth, put clothes on, put hair up. 6:40AM: Get 10 month old. Give her bottle. (TG she can hold it now lol) I'll change her quickly. 6:42AM: PANIC. not moving fast enough.... -looks over to husband who's sleeping soooo soundly- I growl. 6:45AM: 3 year old goes into bathroom and demands hugs etc. We all sit on the floor w/ baby in boomba and have huggies. She finally gets on the potty and she gets dressed. 6:55AM: In kitchen for coats, carseats, socks and sneaks. 7:02AM: In car pulling out of driveway. Double drop off for pre-school, then take baby to sitters. On road to work by 7:30AM to get there at 8:15AM, leave at 4:30PM, get to Baby first around 5:20PM. Get to 3 year old by 5:45PM. Hugs all around. Bedtime done by 8:30PM. Then I pack lunch and clean up until 11PM. Lather, Rinse, Repeat ......

Talk to her now and advise that she takes parenting classes. that poor child. who cares if she's embarrassed- she needs to take a long look at her life. Get intervention. Verbal abuse is just as bad as physical abuse. |

OMG. Loud flushing. I don't think there is anything you can do about that except putting the seat down so it's muffled? My little one has had Success! She went on the potty today and is doing better there. I'm so proud of her. I even wrote her a little letter when I found out. It is so baffling how these little people become all that you are the minute they arrive. So proud of my lil best friend.

hello mommas. i miss you. glad to see everyone is doing well. amy, that sucks and i hope you feel better. carina is amazing and julia and i love her to pieces. she is already eating chicken and has two teeth- pureed chicken lol. i am so busy. more busy than i've ever could have imagined. i start dropping julia off at school next week, double drop off and double pick up three times a week. my only option for back up pick up is my mother in law. unfortunately; she has been ill with bell's palsey and i do not want to put any stress on her. i keep telling myself that when i am a gramma i will do everything i possibly can to help my children out. my parents are SO retired and don't even have car seats. oh. and i'm still fat. oh!no hot water yet. don't have $$ to lay down for new heating system killed by flood.
goooooooood times. |

sam- i'm so bitchy today. my latte is non-fat and god knows how many calories lol!!!! carina isn't a crier- she is a whiner. She only really actually cries when she's starving and I've gotten her past the brink of FEED ME NOW MOM!!! She's up to a whole container of fruit w/ rice in the AM and a veggie w/rice at night. She's very verbal and almost crawling already! wow!!!! and give her the heel of the bread- she'll gum that for hours and be all smiles. She is a creature of habit though- in bed by 7:45PM the latest; boom done; snuggling with her blanket, she wants no part of me and wants all of her crib to roll around in. I'm not complaining. Julia was like that too. And she still is. When she wants to go to bed; she's there- same time every night.
how is everyone? well, i still don't have hot water. my boiler and hot water heater is busted. I've been paying all of our bills and mortgage for the past few months; not ideal obviously; so there's just isn't room for paying $10K flat out for new ones- so I have to wait for the insurance $$ to come in. My stress level is beyond anything I have ever imagined; and I'm just keeping it together for my girls and work. But I actually started crying last night! which is something I NEVER NEVER do!!!!! yikes. I need sun and a nice fat check to get this fixed. Two things that will not be making appearances in the near future. I am stressed beyond belief. But, I keep thinking; things could be so much worse. My babies are healthy and that's all that matters. I could be so much more unfortunate and at least I have a roof over my head and the ability to provide them with food and safety. My mother isn't helping the situation and she doesn't understand my life b/c she never worked while we were growing up and now they are retired with two homes paid off, two cars paid off, and oodles of money in the bank. And that'a great for them. But I'm making a promise to myself that if my girls need anything at all, no questions asked I will try to help them as much as I can when they get older. Two retired parents that don't even have car seats for emergency pick-ups. Just sayin.
OK- sorry for the Wed AM rant! I don't feel better, but at least I got something out lol! |

no. not being vague. totally hear what you're saying. keep asking the questions and give them attitude. in the end they always flock to the ones who have voices. I'm so sorry to hear about you're boss though- that's sad. keep holding down the fort and be tactfully aggressive. trust me. they will flock to the smart ones who can grasp how they're thinking; and you'll most likely help w/ keeping things sane. |

RE: Jumpers: I had to get Carina a new jumper b/c the other one I had was ruined in the flood from the Hurricane. I got her the Einstein one. I love it. I like the music. Carina last about 10 minutes so far and then starts shouting things at me. :) Sam- that must have been very scary. Logan will be fine. One of many many bumps. Julia was tumbled down the steps on her belly when she was about 18 months; I went upstairs and A was supposed to be watching her. Needless to say, she decided to follow momma and tried getting up some steps. I heard a horrible series of thumps then awful terrible screaming. Scariest Moment of my life so far. She slid down four steps on her belly. She was fine. Abby- Right there with you. I have lost so many things from this stupid storm. 5 ft of water in my basement. No hot water heater or boiler. I have been taking cold showers and sponge bathing my girls. NOT FUN AT ALL. have been so busy. i miss chatting with all of you! |

The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
