I stayed in the deep end most of the time. Perhaps I only did about 2 hours of real swimming, and the other two where sprinkled in between. I wasn't just sitting/floating around the whole time, or even the majority of the time. I would definitely consider what I was doing exercise though. So maybe it was closer to 2000 calories. Thanks for your guys input. :) |

Well thats the thing I put in laps first and it said like 5,000 calories, then I tried it again with leisurely swimming and it still came out around 4,000 calories. |

Back when I was in Jr. High, I remember this display by the check out line where they hung up the offered beverages on the wall and under each was a zip lock bag with the amount of sugar they contained. It was basically a display to try and get kids to make better choices. The irony of it all is that, if they are aware of a beverage being offered that has 20 Tbsp of sugar in them, why do they offer them at all?! At the Jr. High, pizza is offered EVERYDAY. I would say 80% of the students lunches consist of this: Pizza (sometimes two slices), French Fries, Chocolate Milk or a Sugary Sports Drink, and like a half a cup of Ranch Dressing. :O!!!!! I remember buying my lunch like this too, I did try and grab fruit and had the toss salad everyday though. I really cant afford to buy school lunches anymore its like 3.75$ a day. Edit: Oh and also, 2 days out of the 5 the breakfast offered at my school is pizza, and the other days are like corndogs, but they are a sausage wrapped in pancake batter dipped in maple surup. And a hasbrown patty is offered everyday to. They are soooo greasy too. |

Thats ok! I had subway for dinner tonight, and yeah I went over calories a little, but after I counted in the fact that I was shopping for about an hour, I was just fine! plus I have slipped up once or twice this week, and I know I've lost weight anyway. I think the reason most diets fail is because we believe if we slip up once we are just like "screw it, I messed up, I'm done, its over, whatever." but if you keep going your still going to see results in the long run. Its all about persistance, Just keep your chin up and look toward the future :) Have an awesome weekend. |

| Weight Loss | Um.. how much do boobs weigh?! | May 17 2009 01:55 (UTC) |

That really doesnt surprise me, I mean, I have had big breasts sense I was like 11, and I think pretty much anything over a C cup has to have a significant factor in your weight. I have DD's and I would be surprised if they turned up weighing around 8lbs each. However I think most will account for their breasts in their total wieght goal. lol. This post gave me the giggles. They both kind of have their disadvantages, like i dont want to trick myself into thinking that im burning 60 more calories than I actually am, and Im sure you dont want to be eating 140 calories less! The past week I've just been using my old burn score of 2880. I figured it was probobly a glitch in CC. |

Hello Sierra, Well first of all, if you are unhappy with the way you look, and want to drop a few pounds, thats perfectly fine, however my biggest concern is your calorie intake, I know that it may seem like the right thing to do to cut your calories that low, but the reason you are feeling so faint and weak is because you are not consuming enough calories. The minimum you should be eating is 1200 calories (maybe more because your so young), but 1200 calories will at least give you enough to live on. Those symptoms also point to low blood sugar. Im not sure where your mindset is so I cant really judge, but from the tone of your post, this sounds like it could easily turn around on you and bite you in the butt, causing an eating disorder. Exactly how much are you planning on loosing? I wouldnt loose much more if I where you. I guess my biggest recommendation would be to stear away from calorie cutting, and focus more on exercising, and getting more physical activity. I'm 17 and a few years ago I started to get into some very dysfunctional thinking and eating, and trust me, its not the path you want to go down. If you would like to talk, Im on everyday, so drop a line. I hope this helps. Have a nice day. |
