Thanks for the feedback.  I knew I was in for a few sermons and wasn't disappointed.Foot in mouth  I weighed myself on the "official" scale and came at 193 lbs... a bit disappointing but -give or take a couple lbs- still within my goal.

This month I will increase my walk/jog sessions to 45mn 4-5 times a week AND increase my caloric intake to 1500-1800/day.

It really isn't easy because the foods I eat now are calorie poor (veggies, fruits, lean meats) which means I will have to increase portions which is hard psychologically because that's why I gained the weight in the first place.  But I will allow myself occasional treats (wine, dark chocolate, bread/cheese) if need be to increase my calorie intake.Smile

One way to not feel guilty about drinking SOME coffee is to reduce the amount of sugar you put in until your taste buds get used to it, then reduce sugar amount again until eventually you'll drink it black AND enjoy it.  The same can be said of cream... At least it worked for me!

Reading the replies I can see no one is hiding anything, except most have separate accounts which SO doesn't know how much is in or how it is spent....lol

I'm a SHAD (Stay At Home Dad), don't earn an income and haven't done so ever since I met my wife 7 years ago, although that will soon change now that our son is going to preschool in Sept.

My wife is also the family CFO, pays all the bills and tracks all expenses and whatever investments she has (I no money!).  She probably knows exactly how much I should have in my pocket!

So, while I have no clue how much she spends and what on, the opposite isn't true and that imbalance is unhealthy.  I've already told her that whenever I find a job, I will take a % out of my paycheck to put in my own account.  I'm not hiding it, I'm just not sharing the info.

Fitness Running/Weight Loss Advice? Jul 08 2008

I think you'd be better off running a bit longer (5k) 3-4x a week if you want to loose the extra weight because your body needs a 20 mn sustained effort level to burn calories.  Try running 40 mn at a time and don't forget to start slow to warm up your muscles and stretch for at least 20 mn after the effort.  Another thing is, don't eat for at least an hour after the effort to force your body to consume your body's existing calories.  After a while start to diversify your exercise to prevent body memorization (switch speed, incline and type of exercise).  Good luck!
