Orange Julius.
Whenever I'm shopping I tend to get one of these instead of crappy foodcourt food, I just looked them up though, and a small pina colada one is 330 calories...oh my god. |

hgielrehtaeh I actually agree with you. I do think people need to take responsibility for what they've done to themselves.
The one and only reason I'm experimenting with diet pills at this time is I've struggled for over a year with anorexia and bulimia, and my mind and body just can't take the strain anymore. I just can't mentally battle myself everyday. And since I started taking them, they've surpressed my appetite, and I havent even considering binging/purging since. Even if they do absolutely nothing for me, if they just give me a sense of hope or SOMETHING, it's worth it. Sounds sad but hey, eating disorders are pretty crappy. |

Hmmm. Tyra can be a bit of a dolt sometimes, I gotta admit, but the base message she was sending was real and good. The whole episode (yesterday) was really, really good.
I especially appreciated that they pointed out that with eating disorders, it doesn't mean you're only sick when you get to the point of being under a hundred pounds, that people of all sexes and races and weights suffer from eating disorders, and suffer in secret just because their weight is normal or healthy. I think that was really important to be said! |

| Weight Loss | something to try, that's working for me... | Jan 24 2007 19:07 (UTC) |

| For the first like...eight months of my "dieting" I had this little notebook that I wrote down EVERYTHING in. Not only food and calories but the exercise I did. And I made this chart in the back of all my weights at the beginning of each month and goals and even a chart of the average activities (walking, dancing, weight lifting) and what they burn per hour. It did really help me, but honestly, I was carrying that thing around like it was attached to me. It was a HUGE relief when I finally ditched it. But the thing is, I don't need it, cause all that junk is now permanently stored in my head ;) | |||

| Thats a good idea. I'm really convinced that the last 10-15 are the very hardest. I guess the best advice would be to stick to it and be patient... | |||

Hey! I am kind of in a similar situation, so I thought it might help you to know you've got someone on your side!
I'm 21, also a vegetarian, and also currently weigh 140lbs. I'm 5'4 1/2 so pretty close to your height too. My goal is 125. I'm not too happy with myself either. I usually try to eat 1200 calories a day. I aim for that but don't usually come in under 1400 ;) What I keep hearing is your body can get used to a certain routine, and you've got to shock it into weight loss. So I guess if you're used to doing a certain kind of excercise, try something totally new. I've lost almost 50lbs and the exercise I stuck with the most was light weight lifting, it helped a lot especially cause I'm kinda lazy. I guess other suggestions would be drink lots of water, to keep you feeling full, and keep healthy snacks around if you tend to be eating quickly/randomly. Find fruits and vegetables that you love and just keep them around constantly. I eat basically the exact same thing everyday but it's cause I just love it. Which is kinda weird cause most of the things I eat are orange. Hey keep me informed, if something works for you, it might work for me too! |

I've lost 50 lbs.
I started last february. The first couple months I was losing ten lbs a month. Then it got down to around 5-10. The more I lost the slower it got. I ate around 1200cal a day but usually had a day or too where I was more flexible. I did light pilates exercise and used 5lb hand weights. Thats it :) |

| Weight Loss | Drinking too much water? | Jan 07 2007 19:30 (UTC) |

Erm I am not expert or anything, but your pee being clear is a good thing! When it's yellow(er) it means you're more dehydrated (doesn't it? Somebody back me up)
Water is GREAT for you, it's not going to take anything but bad stuff away. I really don't think drinking too much water (if there is such a thing) would make your sugar drop. As long as you keep eating along with drinking all this water, you should be good. |

| I'm a vegetarian, and I take a multivitamin, omega 3 capsule, and biotin. I try to eat around 1200 calories but usually end up around 1400. I've struggled with both starving myself and overeating and throwing up. I know I am capable of doing this in a healthy way, it just gets sooo frustrating. And I know I'm more sensitive about food...when I get frustrated or angry I eat. So it's this horrible catch 22. Only six months until summer! :) Gotta do it. | |||

I know I know I know.
It's just... I've been doing this for a year now. It's getting so tiring. I do what I'm supposed to do and I gain weight. It drives me nuts. I just want to get out of this "diet" frame of mind because it really affects my eating disorder issues. I wanna be the weight I want so I can...get on with my life. You know? |

| I sooo agree with the arm toning thing too. I want everything thats gonna be visable on me to be toned :) I've lost enough weight that I know toning is probably pretty important right now. 20lbs doesnt sound like THAT much but it's sooo slow to come off. Plus I have a weakness for baked goods... | |||

| Hahaha, you guys are awesome. I wanna wear a dress. Im really quite small on top, I'm short but I have a long torso and short legs. So any extra weight makes my legs look super fat and stocky. So I wanna lose the leg fat and wear cute dresses. I hate it when it's super hot out and people are always ragging on me for wearing pants. | |||

Hahahaha
I sooo know what you guys are feeling. Even before I found this website I had a little notebook I would write everything down in. Everything I ate, the calories, and all of the exercise I did. When the book was full I stopped and my boyfriend said "what are you not counting calories anymore?" and i realized that I had never stopped. I can recall every little thing I've eaten in a day, and how many calories was in it. But I dont think this is a bad thing, it's kinda cool. |
