HW: 225 LW: 180 GW: 145 Well I had some family stuff come up and I went out of town, I haven't really exercised much for the past two weeks but I decided to weigh in this morning and I have managed to maintain my weight, at least I didn't gain anything :/ |

HW: 225 LW: 180 GW: 145 I'm surprised I lost anything this week because I haven't been able to go walking/jogging cuz of the rain all week! Goin to buy a new scale today so I may have to tweak my weights since I am getting a more accurate scale, but knowing that I lost a pound and a half feels great! |

Quick question!! I assume you want us to edit our original posts each monday, rather than making a new one? Just making sure! :P Not sure if I will have lost anything, it rained for 4 days straight here and then the last two days its been raining in the evening, so I haven't been able to go walking! but I have been doing my other exercises... we'll see! GL to everyone for the rest of the weekend :) |

I think it would definately help you to have a scale! Otherwise... how will you keep track of your weight loss? It helps to know because if you are doing something wrong and not losing anything, you can modify your diet/exercise until you being to see results! I weigh in once a week. I used to every couple days because I was so anxious to lose weight, but I found I would get discourage because 1/3lb (or other small amounts) don't really show up on the scale I have. But after a week, it may add up to a pound or two, which is healthy weight loss! ~Far from an expert, but just from my experience~ Goodluck! |

HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. Google it and you will find numerous websites about it! I'm sorry but I don't know much about it myself lol but I thought maybe that would help :P |

Original Post by andi8983: I have the same problem andi.. through a combo of eating healthier and eating smaller portions, my calorie count was always low. A suggestion told to me was to add a handful of almonds or other nuts in as a snack between meals, eating apple slices with peanut butter as opposed to eating just the apple, or adding a glass of 2% milk to your meals or just as a snack somewhere in between, which add healthier calories than if you just had some cookies or whatever to pack in the missing calories. Those are just a few examples.. I am far from an expert but (I believe) eating under 1200 calories (minimum) will cause your body to go into starvation mode and will retain fat, rather than burn it off. Hope this helps! |

This sounds like a good idea to me! I'm 21, about 5'6" and 194lbs, my eventual goal is 140-145. I just joined CC a few days ago and this looks like a good start and will help with my motivation! Starting a couple days late but here goes~ goodluck to everyone! |

Thanks for the link, I'll try that out! Having those muscles start to show sounds good lol, so I will try to get some strength training into my routine, I'll probably go get a set of dumbells as suggested :) Thanks guys! |
