I'm more scared of the fact that the link is to a Fox news site than the swords in the cheeks.  lol.Sealed

Heya.  Look up oil pulling!  It's great and I do it for a number of reasons.  You just take a pure oil like... safflower, coconut, extra virgin olive oil, sesame, sunflower... okay so it goes on and on... (I recommend safflower/coconut... for their taste) you take approx 1 tablespoon and swish it in your mouth for about 15-20 minutes, 1-3 times daily.  (I only do it once at night) and it's helped me with a ton of things ranging from my skin to my teeth.  You don't swallow the oil you spit it out when the time is up and you're good to go.  Lol I may sound crazy but seriously... try it for a week and you'll see good results!

Hmm well if you come back and list your current height and weight.... how many calories you're eating per day and what your exercise regimen is then perhaps we can help you.  It could be a number of reasons.

It could be that you're not eating enough...

it could be that you're not exercising enough...

it could be that you're eating the wrong kinds of foods or

it could be that you're gaining muscle and shouldn't be watching the scale so much!

or it could be a host of other things :)

Original Post by time_141:

A Last 10 Pounds Group sounds like a great idea.  I have never gone on a diet before this one.  I didn't know what my end goal was when I started, only that I needed to loose weight after trying the pill.  Now I really don't know how to "come off" dieting.  I know I have made alot of healthier lifestyle changes, but I am unsure how to now balance the weight I want to stay at.

It is so motivating to read everyone's stories and advice.

Start weight 192 jan08

Current Weight 165

Goal (I am thinking now) 155

Female Age 23 Height 5'9

To make things a little harder, I just went through a break up last week, I stayed on my diet until yesterday, but then the chocolate came out lol...I am feeling like I need to get back on the bandwagon, reading here helps!  Knowing that I probably blew a week is frustrating, but I am more worried about how metabloism reacts to those "accidents"

OMG so i was reading through this and I've literally never found anyone with my same stats or goal... but we're pretty damn identical... so lol I'm in.  i'm 25. size 8ish ^_^ i'm 5'9 started at 180

Current weight : 165

Goal Weight: 155... maybe 150 if i'm pushin it by December 31st!

I feel sooo close to it but I've been trying for what feels like forever and the scale won't move!  I'm about to make it move by throwing it out the window. >.<

I love all of the 90 cal special k bars.  Blueberry, strawberry, honey nut... and as for the whole cottage cheese thing I like mine with berries and a little splenda, honey or blue agave syrup.  It's also really good with salsa and a few chips.

I'm a big snacker... so pretzels, fruit (i'm i love with mangos right now), light yogurt, graham crackers and soy/almond/rice milk or if you like cows milk you could do a 1% or skim.    Every now and then for convenience I'll even eat dried fruit but be careful cause some brands can have a ton of extra sugar in it.

And whoever mentioned popcorn... I'm with em on that! cause you can season it sooo many different ways like with lime and chile, garlic and parmesan, cinnamon and sugar (splenda if you're like me... i know it's not the best for you but w/e!), cajun seasoning, the hidden valley ranch packet stuff! mmm so good.

Oh and don't forget about frozen yogurts, or if you like soy products tofrutti cuties if you just need somethin sweet. they're delicious ice cream sandwiches that aren't even close to being bad for you!  you can do pudding.

Nuts! cashews are my fave.  Whole grain bread and some peanutbutter or any nut butter.  Peanut butter on a banana.  Maybe if you have a sec and don't want to cook you could whip up some quick shakes.  Lol okay well there's a ton of info.... and of course I have a ton more in my arsenal b/c like i said... snacking is what I do!
