Thank you coach K. I use that tab.
It'd nice if out of my 313 supporters and the 252 people I support, I could choose say the top 20 I would like to interact with (sort of like a favorites list). |

Thank you so much for all your hard work on improving the app. I have one suggestion: It'd be wonderful for the analysis to show percentages just like it does on the website. Thanks again for your consideration. |

I've decided to stop supporting those people that eat under 1200 calories. Problem is, I still see them in my feed! Help! |

<b>nvonholl</b> Go to: http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/account/flog .php Click on one of the tabs: "Breakfast" "Lunch" "Dinner" "Snack" or "Other" A window will pop up. Then under the red letters that say: "Not in the database?" click on "Add Custom Food" Add whatever information the package has. Then click on "Save Custom Item" It will then go into your custom food database and be logged onto your food log.

1200 calories is not meeting your nutrition needs. If you are losing a pound a day, you should seek medical attention. This could be a sign of a serious problem. |

I really like the little red number that shows up by Calorie Camp showing you the number of notifications. It would be nice to have a notification when you comment on someone's food log and you hit reply.
It would also be nice to have the option to click on someone's picture and go directly to their daily reports instead of their profile or to have a link to their daily reports in their profile.
Right now to go see a specific person's daily report I have to go to their profile, support them, then go to my dashboard, then click on supporting and remember their username, find them and then click on their most recent report. It's too complicated for me. |

| Calorie Count | Android app launched! | Mar 08 2012 05:24 (UTC) |

I love the Android app. It is a wonderful way to keep track of my calories as I consume them. Previously before I ever got to a computer, I had forgotten what I had eaten. Sometimes, I would manually write down what I ate, but that was tedious. The Android app is wonderful! Another thing is having the option to pull up recipes and log a serving. I would also like to be able to log my food by grams (like on the Website) instead of the preset servings. These things would turn a good app into a FANTASTIC app. Another thing I would like that is neither on the Website or the app is to be able to put the time I ate a certain item. This would be helpful to note hunger and energy trends. Thank you for all you do for this wonderful and useful Website. I (and many others) appreciate it! |

How did you figure out that you burn 1400 kcal? That sounds like a lot, but of course it depends on what you are doing and how you measure it. I think that what you should do first is figure out your BMR, which is your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR); the number of calories you'd burn if you stayed in bed all day, and make sure that at the end of any given day you don't dip under that number, either by consuming (on a non exercise day) or a deficit by exercising.

| Foods | Calories in Tortellini? | Nov 03 2010 16:01 (UTC) |

The tortellini wasn't filled with anything and I don't know whether the sauce was homemade or not, bleh, oh well, that'll teach me to eat food someone else made, who knows what they put in it. Thank you ladies for your suggestions! =)
Oh and what is ETA? I did a google search but it gave me too many choices, none of which sounded appropriate! I just don't think ETA in this case was referring to " a terrorist organization organized in 1959 by student activists who were dissatisfied with the moderate nationalism of the traditional Basque party; want to create an independent homeland in Spain's western Pyrenees." |

The serving was approximately 1/2 cup. It was homemade. The sauce was not meat sauce. I have no clue how much sugar was in it. I guess I'll have to, oh well, I looked at tortellini and it varies so much from 170 to 900 calories depending on portion sizes. |

| Weight Loss | Insanity And calories Consumed | Oct 31 2010 02:34 (UTC) |

Insanity is an intense workout! If you are eating 1350 calories, and you burn 400, then you are only leaving your body with 950 calories to do essential things, like live, breathe, blink, which is not enough. If your body realizes this then it goes into starvation mode, which means it will hold onto as much of the calories you consume to try and and store until the next time you feed it! This can be counterproductive for weightloss. The recommended net calorie amount is 1200 calories! So if you burn 400 calories with Insanity then you should be consuming at least 1600 calories that way when you burn 400 calories you still leave 1200 calories for your body to function! Don't be afraid to eat more, it is not a matter of eating as little as possible but finding the balance that works for you and your body. By the way, I am 5'0" and have gotten down from 121 to 107 by consuming between 1700 and 2000 calories a day, depending on what my workout routine is. I eat more on days when I do Insanity and less when I take a class at the gym. |

Sounds like you need to change your mentality. You might seek professional counseling, and no it's not only for crazy people. Don't think about it as a diet, think of it as a lifestyle change that will allow you to live! Find delicious foods to replace the unhealthy ones you currently eat. Don't go to the gym if it's torture. Take walks around the neighborhood or at the park with your family, partner, or a friend. Take up something you like. If you think of it as going on a diet of bland food and a torturous 30 minutes at the gym, you will never be able to get past it and ENJOY your life. Don't let food control your life! Take control because you deserve to live a healthy life and to be healthy and strong in your 40s and beyond! |

At 5'2" and 107 lbs you are already on the lower side of the normal weight as far as BMI is concerned. 1000 calories is a ridiculously small amount of food, especially since you exercise. I am 5'0" and 107 lbs and I consume an average of 1700 calories daily, and maintain my weight. Sounds like your body might be freaking out because you are not giving it enough calories. Try upping it to at least 1500 calories, continue to work out, and don't weight yourself for a few weeks, to allow time for your body to adjust to the change without showing you some wacky weights. I hope that all works out for you. Zeni |

1200 is supposed to be for a sedentary petite (short and thin) girl to maintain. I am both of those (5'0" and about 110 lbs) and I consume about 1600 calories a day. I consume what I exercise to give my body the bare minimum of 1200 calories to complete its basic functions. |

| Weight Loss | Is my diet plan a good or bad one? | Apr 23 2010 18:52 (UTC) |

No, you're body needs minimum 1200 calories for normal body functions, not including walking to and from your car, cleaning, cooking, etc...If you burn all 1200 calories through exercise, your body will not have enough fuel to live. You are likely to go into starvation mode, not lose weight, and damage your internal organs. You should not lose more than 2 lbs. per week and a good rule of thumb is to not lose more than 1% of your body weight per week. This is in order to be able to keep the weight off long-term. |

It might be helpful for others to make suggestions if you include your age, weight, height, goals and maybe a little about your weight loss journey to put things into perspective. What I can say from what you've disclosed is that 1000 calories far to low for an active individual like yourself. Your body may be in starvation mode and that may be why you are not losing weight. You need to leave at least 1200 calories for your body to function properly. So if you consume 1600 calories, make sure you burn no more than 400 calories through exercise to allow your body to function properly. Good luck! |
