spinach, beet greens, crimini mushrooms, fresh tuna/salmon, potato (skins), beets, drip coffee, broccoli, white beans, the list goes on and on...

I, for one, am SO glad that coffee is potassium-rich. Hahah. I just recently found that out.

+1 to everyone who has been inactive due to being busy! I will try to get back to posting more. I have two job interviews today (one with Starbucks, where I used to work). I went to my annual doctor's appointment on Wednesday and despite being really anxious about it, things actually went just fine. My stats are all good, so at least I don't have to worry about that.

B: Pancakes (oats, coconut flour, vanilla whey, eggs, baking powder) with almond butter, a cup of strawberries, and a cup of Flax Milk +Protein blended with iced coffee. (540)

Such a delicious day. It was beautiful too! It was sunny, warm, and I even got to go to the pool for a while. Sadly the rest of the week is going to be wet and cold, but at least I got off to a good start. I celebrated by grilling burgers for dinner. Yep, beef burgers! I don't even remember the last time I had one, but it tasted so good. I've never been a fan of fast food burgers, but fresh ones made with good-quality meat are truly something special.

Scotty, I have thought about it before. Some of them are pretty expensive though. Which version do you use? I know it might sound totally crazy to some people that a girl with an ED thinks a calorie-counter would be helpful, but honestly... I think it would actually help me a lot. I have no idea what I burn in a day, sedentary or not. It would be nice to know. It would make things a lot easier when trying to figure out my calorie goals/needs for the day.

Orgain shakes are gluten- and soy-free. I love them and make getting your calories in much easier. They come in four flavors (chocolate fudge, vanilla bean, iced mocha, and strawberries and cream). At 260 calories per shake, they are pretty similar to Ensure, but without artificial ingredients or gluten.

I was like you once. I know it's not desirable to think about having to gain fat, but honestly - there is NO possible way to build only muscle without gaining a little body fat too. And really, that is a good thing. You NEED a certain amount of body fat, especially as a female.

I don't know the rules for my state as far as legal matters go. I would think that since I am 18 and am actively working towards recovery that "forced" hospitalization would not be needed. I have increased and I'm continuing to do so every couple of days. I have also been cutting back on my activity level; though I think I may have to cut it out entirely since I feel like exercise has a big "hold" on me and that's something I really need to change in order to truly recover.

Sorry if this was an inappropriate place to post this. I was just hoping someone else might have some experience or advice to share on the subject. It's really been bothering me and I hate feeling so anxious and nervous all the time.

That sounds really good. I love honey. When I was little I thought it was better than jelly on a peanut butter sandwich! I always thought of it as a healthy food too. It's so natural and pure. I don't know why I demonize sugar so much these days. I had more common sense as a kid! Stupidstupidstupid. I hope I can have a snack like that someday without guilt. It's not even the calories that bother me, I've just had a really rough time with macronutrient counting and "orthorexia".

Ugh. Don't want to go back to class today. I have only been having to do my studies at home since I've gotten back from vacation, but today it's back  to school for me! Phooey. Tuesdays are always crazy for me. I go to class, come home for a quick lunch, go to volunteering, then come home and prepare/clean/cook for my parent's small group meeting. Then I hibernate in my room and do homework, eat dinner, etc. The upside is, it keeps me busy and distracted from harmful habits and ED thoughts. I am one of those people who can't stand "doing nothing" so it kinda works for me!

I have my yearly check-up at the doctor's office next Wednesday and I am freaking out about it. I am so afraid that she'll say something and force me into the hospital. I've lost (quite a bit) since I've seen her last year. I am 18 now, so I'm not sure how that changes things. Would they still try to do something and take action if I were actively trying to gain and willing to recover? I wish I could take a 15 lb. magic pill between now and then and not give them so much reason to worry. Ugh.

Eccendentesiast, don't give up! We all have slip-ups but the important thing is that you get back on track as soon as possible and don't let it become a habit. I struggle so much with exercise as well, so I can definitely relate. It's hard, but I know you're strong enough to get through it. I'm always here to talk if you need someone!

I am home from Florida now! Ack. I wish I could have stayed another week. One week is just not enough. It's good to be home though. I just hope I don't fall back into my old bad habits now that everything is "normal" again. Vacation was a great opportunity for breaking routines and learning to adapt.
