Ive ALWAYS had a weight problem. 

I remember being on my first diet when I was 8 years old. 

I joined weight watchers for the first time in 5th grade.

I have very early memories of hating my body and can say that I have hated my body most of my life. 

Ive been on every diet imaginable including but not limited to: the grapefruit diet, the cabbage soup diet, this old school book my grandma made me read and follow when I was 8 (it worked), weight watchers (joined 7 different times), Body for Life, South Beach Diet, Atkins, and fen phen and other natural pills on the market.

I have lost weight and felt good three times in my life, my senior year of high school, my sophomore year of college, and in 2004/2005 during the period where I met and married my husband. 

The first time(95), I did a low carb diet and exercised at the gym.  I got down from a size 14 to a size 6/8 and felt great and was so proud to wear a bikini on my senior trip. 

The second time(96) I had gained all the weight back and decided to do fen phen. I LOVED that drug because it erased my cravings.  I never thought about food unless my stomach growled.  then when I did eat it only took very little to satisfy me.  I ended up going off fen phen because of the bad press etc and eventually gained it all back again.

The third time 2004/2005 was strongly motivated by my husband.  He is very healthy and like working out.  I like to work out too when we go together.  I get bord and impatient staying on the cardio machine for long periods of time but I really like cardio classes and lifting weights with my husband.  Anyway, I got into great shape then, was a size 6/135/5'7 on my wedding day and honeymoon and felt like a million bucks.  I then proceeded to gradually get back to my old ways and have steadily packed on the lbs ever since. 

When I started this time I weighed 185, toward the end of 2008 I actually got to 189 and FREAKED OUT.  I dont want to weight 190!  So thats the short story of how I got to where I am today. 

My biggest struggle is staying away from the wine/margaritas.  if I can get that under control I think I will do really well and hopefully make a life change that lasts
