Progress report! Miss Moly must boast!

In August of 2006 a store was closing and had pants on sale for three dollars or less.  I had very few pairs of pants around this time and took advantage of the sale.  I found one pair of navy twill cargo pants for fifty cents, but it was way too small and I was well aware.

You know what's coming, don't you?  When I started trying to lose weight in August of 2007 and succeeded, I tried on that pair of pants every few weeks.  The first time I tried it on, I could get them over my knees.  That was one hell of an accomplishment.  The second time I tried them on, I could get them up to my butt.  The third time, over my butt.  And the fourth time, in December, I could get the button to touch the button hole with the help of my fiance while lying down, sucking it in with every last ounce of strength I had.

Today out of idle curiosity I saw those pants in the back of the closet and tried them on.  Without even having to stand up straight, they buttoned, they zipped, and they rested on my hips.  I can finally, FINALLY, after never buying jeans smaller than a size eighteen, can wear a size ten.

My goal was to get to a size eight by the time I got married in three months.  A week ago I was questioning if I could.  Weight loss is slow goin' but it's goin' and I didn't anticipate going by the measuring tape instead of the scale for another fourteen pounds. 

My body is always trying to mess with my head and it's little plans.  It's how it keeps me on my toes.

Eeek!  I'm all squee.  I get my gorgeous wedding ring in four more days and I'll be wearing my size ten pants to go pick it up!

Congratulations!! I understand the need to shout from the rooftops hee hee. That's wonderful, the weight loss AND your upcoming wedding. What an exciting time :)

Holy cow this should be on the motivation board. I have some cute, cute, CUTE clothes that I *used* to be able to wear all the time. They are tucked safely out of sight in a container under my bed. I think I just might take a few things out today! Congrats! You've inspired others!!

Congratulations! I know how you feel..before I started losing weight, I was about to be in a size 18. I was at Goody's yesterday and tried on a size 11 and they fit great! I was like "Whoa, when did this happen!" haha

I was an 18/20 when I started, and now I'm a 12/10! :D

SOOOO  amazing to try on a size 10 dress yesterday and look freaking AMAZING in it. Fit like it was made for me. I feel you on trying on things over and over again, and then FINALLY getting it on.

*jumps up and down*  This thread is making me smile more than fitting into those pants.
