Project Runway: Season 5

Ok.  I absolutely adore this show, but don't have anyone to talk to about it.

I searched, and no existing threads popped up for this season, so I'm starting one.

Did anyone watch last night? I totally thought the simple black skirt and blouse should have won. I would totally wear that, I loved the lines, and how it so clearly communicated the picture image.  That purple and teal thing was just ick.  Looked like something Barbie would wear.

What do you all think?  Any favorite designers yet?

Leanne grew on me this last episode.  I thought her little spy acting thing was cute and the leanimal part was funny.  I did like her dress but Korto's I liked better.

I'm glad Joe is safe.  I think if he would have left off the hooded thing and fixed his major sewing issues it would have been better.  I'm glad Stella left though.  She hasn't done well in almost every challenge.  She gives the same stuff all the time and it's not that good.  I'm thinking that's what saved Joe is that Stella was consistantly not producing good stuff. 

I did like Terri's pants but I want to see something else from her.

God this season is full of annoying, basically talentless designers. Season 2 and 3 were the best, to me.

Totally agree with this season sucking!! I thought 4 had the most talent, followed by 3.

Friday is the runway show! That means 3 designers will have mock collections... My guess for the final three is Leanne (her constructions are very creative/amazing), Korto, and Jerrel. 

I like season 2 the best, but then  Nick V. was my favorite.  I agree that this season has been kind of boring.  The drag competition was interesting but I wanted more over the top designs than what we got. 

after this week I want Kenly to go.  I think she can do good work but her attitude is poor.  Yes it is good to defend yourself but you also need to be respectful and listen to other's opinion.  Poor Keith wasn't allowed to help at all and Terri tried to make it look like he was the one who decided it

I really liked Joe's design and it was my favorite.  Jerrel's was interesting too, I had to go back and watch it again to appreciate it. 

on another note I'm watching the final of the season that Jeffery won.  I really enjoy the music they choose for their show.  They should come out with a soundtrack with this music, I also liked Kara Suan's music too.

This season disappointed me.  From the beginning, it was hard to single one person out as a favourite.  Last season it was Chrstian and Chris and the season prior I loved Jeffrey and Kayne's work.  In season two I thought Daniel's work was amasing and loved Santino's impression of Tim.

Nobody seems to really sew well on this season or want to go to extremes.  It's like the same old designs one always sees with different fabrics.  And Kenley thinking her design was avant garde?  It looked like a lightning bug costume.

I don't know who I want to win this season and I don't know if I really care that much.  Nobody really stands out to me.

Season 4- Chris/kevin (he went too soon for me)

this year I like Joe but then it may be because I think he is cute but I dont' know that he stands out. 

I've caught up with the show over the weekend and I won't miss either Blaine or Terri. I was glad to see Kenley's monstrous dress end up in the bottom. It was dreadful. I hope that takes her bragging down a notch.

Yeah, I STILL don't really have any favorites this season.

I was really hoping this would be the last good season before it switched networks, but I've been sorely disapointed.

Of the remaining contestants, sometimes I like Korto, Jerell, or Leanne.... but honestly, none of them are outstanding, they're just "ok".

I can't wait for Kenley to go.  So OVER it!

I think Korto and Jerrel are now my fav's that Joe is gone (in reality it doesn't suprise me though, he just seemed nice). 

Have to vent here, I'm tired of Kenly, I thought she was cute and adorable at the beginning but she is annoying now and rude, rude, rude.  I think someone posted it here or it was said on the show she is an impetuous child who doesn't listen and interuppts all the time.  It's her way and it's perfect all the time according to her.  If she would listen to TIM and the Judges she would know why mini mouse outfit didn't work.  This week I liked her outfit but her attitude and whining just makes me not  like her at all.  I'm ready for her to learn and mature or go home. 

Kenley is definitely a rude brat. I can't stand her. She's a one-note designer... everything looks exactly the same.
Jerrel, Korto and Leanne are the only one's I like. I think Joe was talentless as well so I'm glad he finally got the boot...

I'm not a huge Suede fan (style wise,) but I think he's a sweetheart. I'm definitely glad Joe went home instead.

Jerrell, Kenley, and Leanne are still my favorites. Kenley is such an ish, I love it.

I feel like she's going home next week though, because of the previews...

Joe's outfit was dreadful. He deserved the boot this week.

I loved watching Kenley's face when Jerrell was announced the winner and then they told her she was safe. She is a brat. It was hilarious to listen to her moan about how she couldn't understand why she was in the bottom last week. Minnie Mouse indeed! Ha!

I wouldn't mind seeing either Suede or Kenley go next week. Actually I'd prefer to not have to listen to Kenley for yet another week. But, imagining her making it to 4 and then not being in the final 3 and seeing her facial expressions would be fun to watch.

I really want to keep liking Kenley but she's just making it so hard.  My patience for her is wearing thin and it seems like all her designs are predictable.  She's become incredibly obnoxious.

I'd like to see Jerrell win.

Last week's episode was odd.  It was strange that they suddenly decided that two people needed to be eliminated.  Even stranger was that they sent Terri home instead of Suede; I guess they didn't want to part with two colourful characters at once.

Can I say that it was worth putting up with Kenley all those weeks JUST to see her dressed up as Kenley Spears, and share her Hip Hop vision?!?!

I wish I could have a favourite this season.  Leanne's style is too much like a really DIY-looking SupaYana (even though SupaYana is DIY, her stuff has never looked it).

It's just... eh.  This season, I'm only watching when it happens to be on TV and nothing else is.  It makes me sad.  There were so many talented seamstresses in the past, and I admit this season has many a contestant with some poor sewing in comparison which influences my distaste for it.  Jerrell and Korto I can see being in the final three, but I honestly don't want to see Leanne or Kenley there. :\

Yes, I agree that this season has been fairly lackluster.  They have to keep Kenley around for a little longer because she's the only real character on the show now. 

While Jerrell, Korto, and Leanne are pretty good designers, their personalities are definitely blah.  They're so calm and good natured.  The producers of this show actually picked normal people to be on a reality show ... what were they thinking?

And there's a significant difference between being a seamstress and a fashion designer. I don't think it's that hard to follow a pattern and be a seamstress...

Although I love Kenley, I know she doesn't have a chance at winning.

I really like Jerrell too though! Korto is..blah, and something about Leanne just annoys me.
