Project Runway: Season 5

Ok.  I absolutely adore this show, but don't have anyone to talk to about it.

I searched, and no existing threads popped up for this season, so I'm starting one.

Did anyone watch last night? I totally thought the simple black skirt and blouse should have won. I would totally wear that, I loved the lines, and how it so clearly communicated the picture image.  That purple and teal thing was just ick.  Looked like something Barbie would wear.

What do you all think?  Any favorite designers yet?

I didn't get to watch the whole episode last night. I only caught the beginning when they gave out the assignments, and I did get to hear how she talked to Tim Gunn. She's lucky he's such a gentleman. Someone needs to smack that girl.

 I heard a commercial later that talked about the final 4 and I knew Suede got the boot. This morning I went online to see their outfits and I couldn't believe Kenley thought that outfit was hip hop. Valley girl maybe.

I really don't want to see and especially hear Kenley in the final 3.

I am trying so hard to not read this thread it is ridiculous.

But I have bookmarked it. 

Where I live the last episode that was on was the one with the Olympic outfits (so we are a little behind) and I don't want to spoil things for myself.

arghhh!!! Why can't the judges see that Kenly  just does whatever she wants to do and ignores the challenge, this is what the second time she has done that.  At least Suede's look had a rock feel even if it was toned down.  Plus I wish the judges would say something to her when she is disrespectful to them and to other contestants when she is laughing at their mistakes.  arghhh!!! I really can not stand her disrespect.  While the 50's is great bring something new. 

On the other hand.  I don't know that any of these outfits really stood out.  I did like Korto's jeans and shoes.  But the rest were just ho hum for me....

I got to watch the whole show last night. I think Kenley should have gotten the boot. She totally missed the mark. There was absolutely nothing hip hop about her outfit.

Kenley got dressed DOWN last night by everyone. Ha ha ha ha ha. She deserved it. I absolutely loved hearing Jerrell tell her to be quiet and wait her turn.

Yeah, last night it was fun watching Kenley get the beat down. Her dress was horrible and that whole, "this is the hardest decision we've ever had to make, so we're not making one" thing was BS.

Did anyone else feel like last night's episode was a waste of time? The winner didn't win anything, the losers didn't lose anything. None of the dresses were that good (I did like Jerrell's, but when they did the close up of the scraggily bottom, I thought it looked horrible.) They could have just sent them all home last week, the result would have been the same.

I thought the episode was a waste as well. I really hope Kenley is the one sent home though. I think the other three have turned out consistently better and more interesting (and diverse) work than Kenley. She's a one-note designer. 

I think if they were going to be undecided, they should have made Korto and Kenley show designs and pick one to actually show at Fashion Week like they did last season.  Having them all compete even though Jerrell and Leanne up for getting cut even though they had the highest scores is so lame.

Kenley's little sob story about always being excluded was humorous; it reminded me so much of last season's ANTM and Whitney's little (fake) tales of being poked fun at for her weight all her life.

I definitely think Kenley gives off a rude vibe, but I still find her likable...
I think Korto comes off as a huge ishhh though. Especially getting mad at Kenley when she didn't pick her.

I think it's stupid that Jerrell can still be eliminated even though he won! I doubt he'll be the one they eliminate, but still!

Frankly, I'm not that thrilled with any of the remaining contestants ... who is everyone hoping/cheering for?

I'm rooting for Chris March.  I know he's from last season, but that should tell you what I'm thinking of this season's contestants.

It would be so awesome if during the finale Heidi would say, "And the winner is... NONE OF YOU 'CAUSE YOU ALL SUCK."

I'm rooting for Jerrell I guess... There really isn't anyone amazing to root for though. I want to go back to the season with Santino, Andre, Nick, etc...

I'm rooting for Jerrell I think...I do like Leanne though as well. I like Korto, but she always has this pissy look on her face when she doesn't win...like she thinks she deserved to win...so I'm not sure how I feel about her. But if Kenley were to go to Bryant park, I think I would stop watching...lol. No, probably not, but if she wins, I'll lose faith in Project Runway.

I don't know who, don't know that I'm rooting for anyone.  I hope there is color.  I felt that last year's was lacking in color, a lot of them were soo dark too me from all the designers.

I agree, can we have a redue in Santino's season but can Nick make it this time? 

Jarrel's collection looked AFWUL.  What was he thinking?!  So over worked.  I'm sad, cause I had such high hopes for him.

I cheated, and I went on bravotv.com and looked at all the full collections.  They had the entire final 6 contestants show full collections (to confuse everyone at fashion week as to who would be going).  Some terrible, terrible stuff.  Suede's stuff made the models look fat.  WTF?  How is that even POSSIBLE?

I like Leane's stuff the best.  I was afraid the wave structure would get too repetitive, but I liked the overall collection.

I'm ashamed to admit this, but I loved Kenley's wedding dress.  I personally wouldn't wear it, but it was just such a confection.  Beautiful.

I liked Kenley's wedding dress, too .... I could just picture a bride by a pond, surrounded by swans.

I cheated too and looked at the runway shows online but I actually liked Jerrell's the best. The problem I have with his clothes though is that I'll think something is really cool and then they do a close up and it's a big ol' mess. So maybe I only liked his collection from afar.

Agreed though, Suede's was awful. And Joe's too, blech.

I liked Kenley's wedding dress the best but thought Leanne did the best with making the bridesmaid dress and her whole collection cohesive.

I really like Korto, but thought her wedding dress was the worst by far.

I thought Korto's wedding dress was worse! Plus her stuff bores me.

I wanted either Jerrell or Kenley to win. So now I'm pulling for Kenley. I have a feeling Leanne is going to win though.

This thread makes me sad! I'm in Mexico and they have all old seasons on tv.

This site is really good for getting episodes online.

Did anyone else notice that there isn't a reunion episode this season or did I just miss it o.O?
