Protein after fruit fast?

Hey!

So for about 6 days i've tried a fruit and vegetable fast.i know that the lack on protein  is making me lose tons of muscle. so today i ate mostly just cottage cheese. it still has hardly any carbs, which i know is the main root for gaining back weight after a fast. but is the amount of protein going to make me gain fat?

I suggest you consider dropping the fad diet approach and work toward eating healthy balanced meals instead where you get whole grains, lean protein and lots of fruit and vegetables.  Then you keep the muscle mass, burn the fat, and get healthy...and lose weight.

Eating just one type of food each day is always going to leave you with a deficit of something that your body really needs to be healthy.  Not to mention that it's boring.

I've used the "balanced meals" approach above to lose about 70 pounds over the last 14 months.  Very rarely did I get hungry, my energy level is great, my health level improved.  I'm at a healthy BMI (20) and maintenance has been easy so far. 

People keep asking me how I did it and when I tell them how I eat and that I exercise 2-3 times a week, they are usually disappointed as they're looking for some magic formula.  But it really does work.
