Does anyone have any good, quick protein ideas for after a work out, that maybe I could eat in the car on the way home??  Except Protein shakes, makes me feel like I'm drinking chalk...  LoL    Thanks!!

Powerbar ProteinPlus bars are really good post-workout. They have like 23g of protein or something, plus they actually taste good!
my favorite is zone perfect peanutbutter bar. yum.  only 19gs of protein but still works.
The best thing to eat after your workout is.................

1% Chocolate Milk

You want something that has a 4:1 ratio of Carbs:Protein... 1% Chocolate Milk has 32g Carbs, 8g of Protein... So it's perfect for a post-workout meal...

Clif Bar makes a really really yummy protein bar.  My favorite is the Peanut Butter one.  Tastes like a candy bar but has 25 grams of protein.  (And 270ish cals I think)

these bars we're talking about.. anything less than 200 calories??   And, is a banana a good source of Protein?
Bananas are loaded with potassium

So is cottage cheese

I usually do a Zone Perfect/Luna bar or shake in the AM after workouts. However, I'm at the gym after work so I typically go right home to eat dinner.
Bananas don't really have much protein... But they do pack some fiber and potassium
Atheletes have always told me that bananas are the best after workout snack. I know they don't exactly have protein, but was jsut offering up some other alternatives.
Prepare some oatmeal and mix with yogurt before your workout and eat it afterward
