Where can I get protein?!

Quote  |  Reply
Taking a look at my daily analysis, I usually have about 45% carbs, and only 25% protein - the rest fat! That's not good, right?

What are some good foods that a rich in protein that I can have for a snack? Something easy to bring to work with me? Etc?

peanut butter is loaded with it...a little high in fat, but it's good fat.

You could also snack on nuts themselves.  Beans are high in protein...low-fat cheese.
45% carbs and 25% protein is not bad. Some people do a mix of 50% carbs, 25% protein, 25% fat. Some other people do a mix of 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fat. I personally do a mix of 40% carbs, 35% protein and 25% fat. Here are some of the things I eat for protein:

Boiled egg whites (3-6 per day), 1/2 cup of 1% cottage cheese (every day), Spinach, Brocolli, Chicken, Turkey, Salmon, Tuna, Lamb, Adzuki beans, black beans, Special K Soy Protein cereal every morning, Skim Milk, Organic crunchy peanut butter, Blanched Almonds, you can also add Tofu
brazillian nuts..they are higher in protien than meat and the fat is healthier. if you are worried about the fats, soak them first and this will take them from 70% to 30%.
