Anyone have some good ideas of how to add protien to your diet? I've been eating lots of fruit and vegies so my calories are okay, my fat intake isn't bad but my protein is alwasys really low. When I try to add thru beans and such, my sodium goes way up and the calories seem to add up quicker also. Any suggestions?
So far the best things I have found are chicken breast, tuna, salmon. There is a great recipe for cottage cheese pancakes at this site:

These are pretty tasty. Protein is tricky, that's for sure. I try to do searches for meals under 300 calories, and that has helped. Take a look at some of these

I sure am shocked at what some of my old favorites total up to![]()

They have some interesting recipes on those sites. I rarely cook a real meal. Usually I have a salad or a piece of chicken with vegies and rice, maybe some soup. Most recipes I find on sites have way more ingredients than I have in my cupboards
. Maybe if I bought the staples that most people have in their kitchens I would be more likely to try new stuff. Now if I want to try something I have to print out the recipe and take it with me so I can buy all the ingredients - what a pain. If I'm going to keep eating healthy I'm going to have to start stocking more things in my kitchen.
