I like the lean muscle meal from GNC. I also like the weight watchers smoothies.

I like Muscle Milk light or Lean Dessert Protein.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE EAS Advantedge carb control--they come in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry.  YUM

Herbalife is my fav. one

I use the EAS Advantedge for extra protein on the go, but I really love ISPURE low carb or zero carb protein drink...50g protein in a glass!

Before you start splashing the cash ask yourself if you really need to buy a protein supplement.

Protein shakes and bars are a great way to sneak some extra protein into your diet if you can't manage to eat some lean meat (for whatever reason).  I chose Designer Whey protein powder and keep a can of it at my desk at work.  Mixed with either water or milk gives me a little high protein snack during the middle of the afternoon.  It's low carb and has some additional electrolytes that I need to prevent muscle cramping.

NECTAR!!

I hate hate the milky stuff so i tried out Nectar and its 0fat/0carbs protein isolate! My favorite is strawberry kiwi which totally tastes like a daquiri :) yummyyyy They also have cherry, chocolate, fuzzy navel and raspberry!! It's my favorite, i'm never going back!!

BSN Desset Protein

actually tastes like a milkshake.. not like those nasty thin-watery ones

Do not buy a premaid protein supplement. They contain ingredients that are terrible for your body and that you can't even pronounce. And they all contain sucralose (Splenda) sweetner. Even protein powders contain. And Sucralose is link to kidney failure and other body breakdowns. The protein powder I will recommend to you is, "Jay Robb" protein. Contains only 5 ingredients tasty delicious and it sweetened with stevia! That what I use for my post workout shake and a starch a fruit of some sort (gow with a banana) natural ice cream 2 raw eggs and almond milk! Taste good and is good for you as well!

I LOVE Spiru-tein Cookies and Cream. I drink it with skim milk after an intense workout.

 I agree completely

I only use protein supplements occasionally because they are full of bad stuff which the marketers try to make you think are healthy indregients

I use a shake only after intense workouts because the protein is rapidly digested and utilized... but for most days something like a couple egg whites, and a good carb source will do the trick, and be more beneficial then ingesting chemicals

i sometimes drink a protein shake for breaky if ive got no time, and ALWAYS drink one right after weight training.

i am in Canada, Presidents Choice natural vanilla protein isolate. $30. 110 cals, 1 cab and 0 Fat.

Tastes delicious.

Trader Joe's Vanilla Soy Protein Powder and 8 oz. skim milk ... usually after I work out. 203 calories & 33.3 grams of protein (combined), and if you add a couple packets of Splenda it's deeeee-licious.

100 whey gold standard

I love it...but...I love it mostly because it's very light, it's not thick, another poster above (carmenoxo) described it "those nasty thin-watery ones".

It's not too sweet, I find it refreshing and not to much to drink after a full, hard workout. Also it's great with mixed oats and milk for breakfast...YUM

any ideas abt making our own protein shakes at home without the nasty chemicals?

and how long to wait after workout to drink them?

Second the Spirutein. Except I never have it in liquid form, it's always mixed in my oatmeal. And it mixes a lot better than whey does.

I use just plain unflavored Soy Protein to make pancakes

just add 1/4-1/2 cup of egg whites, cinnamon, a little baking powder, and Stevia and cook like a normal pancake

they turn out great and are basically carb free (except for the 1-2 grams in the soy powder *which is primarily fiber though*)
