I am tired of buying expensive creams and bath oils that only work for a little while. I have decided to try to heal from the inside out. So far I've been been doing a Liver clease. I am halfway through the 30 days of pills. I started eating whole grains , ground flax seeds, wheat germ and more fish. I am going to the health food store tomorrow to buy flax seed oil and cod liver oil. I also try to drink 12 glasses of water a day and walk on my treadmill for an hour a day week days. I am hoping that someone also with psoriasis reading this can give me some advice.

Hey. My dad has really bad psoriasis and is in the same boat as you are. It had actually started on his head last year, in which they had to shave his hair in order to medicate it with creams. He also is eating a lot of fish and on the treadmill every night. (Is that a doctor's recommendation?) I will ask him if he has any tips. Please let me know if you have any for him, maybe two heads can come up with a better solution. :)
Oh ya, what does the flax seed oil and cod liver oil do?

I have psoriasis too, and it is very hard to keep under control. One cream that I use that is absolutely awesome is Tri-Ceram. I recommend it to everybody that has psoriasis. That is good that you are drinking that amount of water. Have you read up a lot on psoriasis and what not to eat? The things you should absolutely not have are red meat, dairy, carbonated drinks, alcohol, any salty products, tomatoes, potatoes, grapefruit, any foods with a lot of acid. I don't know if you have a Whole Foods in your area, but they have this really cool thing on their website that tells you what foods they sell that are sodium free (thats what you want), and dairy free. I have just gone through each chart and wrote the foods down that were on both charts. They don't have absolutely have everything there, so I would suggest going to trader joes, or any healthy food store, and looking up on their website what they have before you go. Trader Joes also has the option that Whole foods has on their web site. I hope I have been of some help. Let me know if you need anything else.

My mom has had psoriasis since she was in her late teens/early twenties. I was wondering what the tri-ceram cream does. Does it help clear it up, or help with the itching/dry skin or what?
I have really bad psoriasis. Mine came out when I was 12 and unlike most people who get it on the joint areas (knees, elbows, etc.) I don't, I get it everywhere else. My joint areas are about the only areas that stay clear. Nothing helped in the past (diet, excercise, light treatments, creams, oils ) you name it and I've tried it. For the past few years I have had a great doctor who has been trying the new drugs out and I have found that they are great. I was on Enbrel (shots) for about 3 years and it was working wonderfully, but my body has gotten to used to it so I am now being switched to Humira and methotrexate. I hope this works as well as the Enbrel did.

TriCeram is a healing cream thats needs to be applied only once a day. It helps people with dry skin, itching... everything. It may take a week or so to see the difference, but it is well worth it. I use to have it on my face and a lot on and around my hairline, and since I started using this product 6 months ago I have only one small spot on my hairline. None on my face !!! You can get it at Nordstroms.
Thanks for all your replies. Lady11love I've never heard of the store Nordstorms. Is it a drugstore ? I have a patch on my forehead that I try to hide with Bangs. I've always hated bangs on me. My elbows are both covered so I usually wear long sleeves. It has been a few years since I've worn shorts in public. My legs are the worst and the side of my hip where it all started about 18 years ago. I think it was a good excuse to let myself go. It's not like I will every feel comfortable in a bathing suit again even if I am thin. I switched back to wearing glasses instead of contact lenses it was like why bother. The worst is when I am not thinking about it and I'll have some stranger ask what's that on your forehead??? It's like can't I just enjoy myself once in a while without having to be reminded . Sorry .... I needed to vent.
lardo, Nordstrom's is a department store. I notice your profile says CA... I'm going to guess that's Canada? Cause in California, Nordstrom's are everywhere! :)
I had the same problem. I don't have any on my legs, but I do on my elbows. I have it the worst in my scalp, and currently am trying to find a shampoo that could help me. Another store that just started is Sephora, they carry Triceram. If you don't have either one of these stores in your area, you can order it online. I really hope you get this, and if you do let me know how it works for you. I am 100 % sure you would absolutely love it. It is a little pricy, but what it is worth is much more than what it costs. It is normally about $30 a bottle. I don't know exactly how much you have put into the products you have used, but I have probably used over $400 on just about everything that claims to get rid of psoriasis. The spot that I mentioned in my previous entry is now GONE !!! no more, lol.
Lady11love... Yes I am in Canada. I am going to see if I can get the drugstore in town to order some Triceram creme for me. I will let you know if I have any luck. Thanks.
