pssst........hey 100+ to lose club....over here
Hi all! I'm the newbie that started on Monday, and I haven't been in forums in the last couple of days. So, I just wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing. Because y'all really helped me through those first 2 days!
It's time for the weekend, and I want to hear success to get me through!
I got on the scale this morning............and I have lost 7.5 pounds! I feel like I weighed in with the Biggest Loser contestants! I have never lost that many pounds in 5 days! What do you know.....counting calories really work! lol......
So, what's your story? Let's stay motivated........(or if you are disgruntled....let's us get ya through it!)

7.5Lbs. That is wonderful! Great job. Remember to keep drinking the water - it really does help alot.
I lost 1Lbs. this week too. YEAH for weight loss!

Thanks for the reminder about water! I have tried to up it daily....still not at the recommended quantity...but steadily increasing! Congrats on your loss!
Way to go! It feels great doesn't it? I lost 2.5 lbs this week after a gain of 1 last week. I usually give up after three weeks but its now been six weeks. I'm hoping that I'm finally over the "hump" and on my way to a healthy me. I know coming to CC and all the great people here has really helped.
Have a good weekend!

total loss so far: 108 pounds.. only (haha only!) 76 more to go! :)

I'm still stuck, and I hesitate to say anything because I don't want to slow down the awesome mojo on here.... I'm really glad to see people sharing their successes because it gives me hope.
So thanks guys...
I did drink over 4 liters of water yesterday. The last time I had any luck with the scale it was when I drank 5 liters a day for a whole week... which you might think meant it was just water weight, but it stayed off so... maybe I just need to drink that much water for my body to do its thing... I'm giving it the old college try anyway.
TGIF!

Right now, I'm in a weight-rut that's bouncing between 215 and 211-ish. I'm going to wait it out through the week (as the total irritablity on Tuesday and the low grade back ache were COMPLETELY explained yesterday! The joys of womanhood) before trying to do something to change up the routine.
Of course my eating has been erratic this week, and the salt craving is running on high, so it's mostly water weight (I'm guessing) that I'm bouncing around (sloshing around?!), and with the even on Wednesday and another work luncheon yesterday, getting in proper amounts of water was difficult.
So I'm doing okay. My spirits are upbeat because I've discovered this little pot of energy that 35lbs was weighing down. I feel like I can do more things in a day! I've got more "steam" to run on! :)

ooo..i am lovin', lovin', lovin' hearing these successes! Just in time! I come into work, and go to my mailbox (actual, not email...lol) and BAM!! Donuts Everywhere!!!! Yikes! They haven't had those all school year.....so, here I am typing to y'all instead of eating donuts! yummmm, this water is so good....tastes much better than that donut on my butt.
Beanie, hang in there....the joys of womanhood will end soon and the sloshing will be done! 35 pounds...wow!!!
:)
have a great day all

I've been dieting now for a little over 3 months and have lost 49
lbs! I'm thrilled. Now, I still have 65 to go to my goal
weight, but I feel soooo much better that it's unbelieveable.
Yeah, I know it'll be over soon, and I'm not complaining that it's here 'cause it's a sign I'm getting healthier, but I should have added up all the signs. Weight loss that should have happened but didn't, irritability, low-grade back ache, senitivity in certain places... yeah, sometimes I'm oblivious. :)
I know it'll stop soon enough and the water-weight should go away, and soon I should be on my way again to a slimmer, healtheir me!
Like I said, I'm very up-beat about the whole thing. I'm lovin' the extra energy I've got.

Congrats on lossing the weight , its the begining of a long road. try to forget its long and just deal with one step at a time. I have more then 100 lbs to lose. Using this program has been like finding a treasure. Now insted of beng self absorbed in self pity I come to this site for motivation. Weight loss is harder then quiting smoking , we all have to eat ...lets think about the new body image we have of ourselves before we put anything in our mouths. Also ...dont beat ourselves up with guilt when we fall off. GOOD LUCK!!! TO ALL THOSE WHO READ THIS .
p.s I have never typed anything like this on line and note sure how bloging works . Is this a Blog LOL:)

A blog is a personal account that only you write and that others comment to. Our CC journals are kinda like blogs.
This is a forum, which means that anyone can post a topic that other people can reply to, and anyone can reply to any topic! :) Does that clear things up a bit?
Glad to see you posting... being an active member really helps along this journey... at least, that's what I've found!

Hi all!
I haven't seen anything by the 100+ to lose in a while, and I've missed it!!! I fell off the wagon for a month (or two), but I'm back on & in full swing. In fact, I just took off 6 lbs!!! Yes, it was probably water weight, but I am soooooo excited about it anyway!
Congrats on everyone doing so good! I'm very jealous... :) in a good way... In a MOTIVATED way!!!

wb.....i'm sure my weight loss is also water........but the scale went down! something I haven't seen in a while! My highest point was 244 pounds....now, I'm 236.5...mini goals work for me....can't wait until I'm 229. then, 219 is biggie b/c that's the least i've weighed in awhile, and so forth.
Love this motivation!
Love this motivation!
I started out with my weight loss journey back in June. I have lost 51lbs since. I started out at 270 and currently weigh 219. I lost 3 pounds this week. Granted the first 20lbs were from being sick and not being able to keep food down for over a month due to a medication being at a toxic level in my blood but hey I will take the weight loss anyway I can get it. It got me over the plateau that I have been in for over a year and now I am back in full swing to losing weight. I want to get down to 130 to 135. I haven't weighed that since high school.
Hi to everyone in the 100+ group. I stumbled on this CC site while trying to find out how many calories those fat free frozen yogurts at Costco were. Yow! Serving size does matter!
I have started logging my food and activities using the resources here. I hope that CC can help me lose 125 lbs. I'm almost up to 300 and don't want to get to the BIG 3-0-0! Anyway, I have lost 2.5 lbs in 2 days - a pretty good start.
One of my biggest motivators to exercising is my dog. I took him on a walk twice, and after that he is so glad when I come home, he just begs to go on a walk. He's hard to resist, and he helps me from 'taking a day off' of walking. We got up to 60 minutes (3 miles), and today we went 3.5 miles! Don't know what I'll do when it starts snowing - I hate mall walking!
Thanks for all your posts. They are so motivating and reassuring to me.

js, welcome! congrats on weight loss! i am jealous of your exercise routine! what a great way to exercise.....and not think of it as work! (can you tell i'm not good at exercising....)
i'm sorry i can't relate on the snow problem! lol....i'm from the south, as a matter of fact, i can't relate to mall walking...i live in small town in the south!
have a great weekend! this is where i get a little scared. BUT i got through dinner and movie last night without big ole popcorn and milk duds! today, none of my family is here....just me......aaaahhhhhh....but i am going to clean this house! i'm going to the store first thing, and get real food....my food! so, i won't be tempted with other things! I'm anxious to weigh on Monday to see if scale has moved anymore, so, that is big motivation for me.
okay, this post was longer than i planned.

Yes the weekend is over "itsmytime" and I hope the scale was kind to you. If not be kind to YOU ! Getting the weight off is more difficult then quiting smoking. You can only do the best you can and if you fall off pick yourself up and forgive yourself. No one is perfect. I messed up yesterday and today is ThanksGiving in Canada ...give me strength!!
thanks sillly--I did make it through the weekend! I ended up with an 8 pound loss for the week! WHOA!! Never did that before! Today was a good day as well....for the first time, in ....hmm..I don't know how long. I didn't "celebrate" my loss by eating more. Does that make sense?
The good thing about messing up is getting the chance to start over!
So, how was Thanksgiving? Are you in Canada...or just celebrating?
