I am doing pullups every other day, when will I see results?? I can do 5 but I want to do 11 really bad, then I am shooting for 20, I just wonder when I will start seeing results?~erica
What results?
Being able to do more will take time, and possible requires more muscle (you can only increase strength so much before you max out) - so eating more calories and making sure you are getting enough protein.
If you are talking about visible results... what else are you doing and what are you hoping to see?
id dint mean visible results i meant when will i get stronger, and be able to do more then 5~erica
I always find that strictly working reps takes me forever, or seems to anyway. The thing I find that helps me move up fast is to pyramid in 3 sets. Start with as many as you can do with just your body weight, then put a 2lb weight in a backpack and do as much as you can with the extra 2lbs. Then do a third set with a 5lb weight in your backpack.
Next workout try 5lb and 7lbs. You will probably see your bodyweight sets move up steadily if you try this.
If your REAL dedicated here's a program. An easier to follow one, it's linked in the first post. And in the second post there is another program a guy wrote out.
Another program - Mistressing the pullup.
thanks guys I will check that out!:))~erica
